As was said in chat, you might want to mention that it is for a specific section of LGBT people.  Otherwise it sounds like being LGBT is something you have to get better from.

Correct. I can't really say anything about drugs and alcohol because I have no training or first hand experience. The group is for LGBTQ who have depression and/or mental illlness. They are to "get better" by talking about their illnesses.

I didn't mean to imply that Trans or sexual identity itself was the illness.

Well a lot of people might just hop on the Trenton line, head to 11th and Market, and go to Evolutions on Thursday. That's the problem; you'd be competing with Mazzoni.

Not everyone can get on a train or drive long distances just to get support. It's hard to venture into the city if you're used to the suburbs. Suburbanites need to stick together sometimes and not rely on the city-folk ....

What if someone is feeling too depressed to travel? I'm sure there are people up here who are having issues of their own and need to find at least one person willing to talk to them?

If they would like to, I can go to Mazzoni's with them. Or the William Way Center.
