Hi.
I went to these forums because I got a question. So, first, about myself: I'm born as a guy, and I'm mostly fine with my body, though I consider a part of myself (not my entire being) as feminine. So I'm fine with living as a guy, though I have many ways of giving that feminine side some treats and... well, it's a bit like a pet I don't want to show anyone but my closest friends, but that I personally care for and cherish. Or like some rare beautiful plant I care for. Something I like and value but only my closest friends now. And all in all that works pretty well. There are lots of stories in my life (I'm in my early 30s), when I wondered whether I am transsexual and went to support groups and all kinds of other ups and downs. But now I am pretty much settled what with being fine with my male body (luckily it's somewhat androgynous in a number of ways) and so on.
And so my question is: is there a specific term for people who feel like that? Who are mostly fine with their born gender, but refuse to fulfill traditional gender roles, and consider parts of themselves to have another gender?
Thanks for any reply, and I hope you feel fine and have a nice day. :)
Hello, Gnf, let me be the first to greet you.
As far as your questions go, under the transgender umbrella, we have quite a few members who identify as "non-binary." That is to say, neither full male, or fully female, or in some cases, genderless.
Go check out the Androgyne Talk board.
HI,
Welcome.
J is correct, check out the board he noted. C'mon in and wonder around. Ask questions.
Hugs,
Jen

There is a very wide spectrum of gender dysphoria feelings. There are no right ones and no wrong ones.
