A school in Wilmington, North Carolina, is reportedly attempting to institute a "Biblical morality policy" that would bar students from attending the educational institution if they have members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in their family.
The school's "Biblical morality policy" has sparked protests, such as the group demonstrating across the street from the school in the above video [. . . ]
The family has to agree that the kid can be stoned to death for wearging cotton underwear and wool socks to school?? And to do the job themself if junior cleans himself a little too well in the shower and has an accidental discharge of goo? Yeah I am being ridiculous -- or should we ask them??
This policy is neither moral nor a reflection of His word.
If they are going to attempt to distort scripture in this way then they should look a bit more closely at Genesis, particularly at the Sodom and Gomorrah story that they use to inspire such hate.
In that story, in Genesis 18:25 it says "That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"
It's not their job to judge, do they think God retired and left them in charge?! If they think the LGBT community is "wicked" fine but to presume they know better than the Lord how these kids should be treated contradicts Christianity anyways.
They want to ban any student who has an LGBT family member?
Wouldn't that mean... all of them! :eusa_doh:

Indeed.
It will be an even bigger event if this policy is ever enforced. "I'm sorry. Your brother came out as gay. Please find somewhere else to go to school." I have to believe they wouldn't want that kind of publicity.
