Title: Hot Head
Post by: Katy on November 25, 2013, 08:29:54 PM
Before I get to the "hot head" topic, perhaps I should start with a bit of history.  The first wig I bought was not only inexpensive but completely useless unless I thinking about taking a casting call for the role of the wicked witch in a remake of the Wizard of Oz.  The second wig was a distinct improvement, but it was completely unmanageable.  Even with my myopic vision it looked dreadful.  The third and latest wig is a pleasure to look at.  It frames my face well and it isn't constantly in my eyes and in my mouth as was no. 2.  I'm pleased with the purchase, but there is a problem.  Is it just me or are wigs in general extremely hot?  As a closeted CD that isn't too much of problem.  I can simply take it off when it becomes unbearable.  But someday I would like to break out of the closet and for that I would need to wear my lovely head warmer for an extended period of time.  Does one just used to the heat?  Any thoughts?

Have you tried capless wigs? I don't know a lot about it, but I have heard they breathe a lot better.

I haven't tried a capless wig.  To be honest I didn't know such a thing existed.  I'll have to some research although for the time being at least I don't think another wig is on the horizon.  Thanks for sharing.

Yes Katy,  There are capless wigs, and they are generally a lot cooler.
