I'm looking for people who have experience with the Howard Brown ThinC program. After a lifetime of grappling with myself about who I am and what I want to be, I've finally decided to start on HRT. I called them today, hoping I could get an appointment to begin their process in a couple weeks, but the nice lady on the phone told me that they can't help me until after the first of the year and that I should call back then. :-(
Based upon other people's experience with them, once I actually get in the door, how fast can I expect to be moved through their process? I'm not in a terrible rush (I've waited this long, afterall). I'm mostly just asking because they're a 3 hour drive away, and I have to plan appointments around my work schedule which I tend to not know until a week in advance. Also, I'm curious as to any quality of care experiences, experiences with their sliding fee scale, and people's general overall feelings about having gone through the ThinC process.
Thanks :-)
My friend goes there. It didn't take long at all. About 2 weeks from first visit to hormones. She lives out of state BTW.
I go there, honestly they have been great. I live in state so I was a bit more flexible with appointments. The staff is professional and once you get rolling you can get your test results online and view your chart, the pharmacy can ship to your address and is helpful with any questions you may have. If you want you can always PM me about my personal experience.
Howard Brown... the THInC program.... I've heard good things about them... I'm seriously considering going there for my MTF hormones...
