Title: Pellets, I asked therapist and was told to wait
Post by: Rachel on November 26, 2013, 07:51:03 PM
Pellets, I asked therapist and was told to wait. She said she would never recommend pellets for someone during their first 3 months on HRT. So now I am closing in on 6 months and February is my next DR appointment which will make 8.5 months on HRT.  I asked my Doctor when I was first put on HRT and he said they do not offer pellets, at that time. My Doctor said he wanted me to try all the different methods. So when I go next I guess it will be the needle.

Question, would you go some place else for pellets if there do not provide them when I go next? Would you try the needle for 6 months? If pellets are a 10 (10 being good), rate the pill and the needle, Thanks.

I would not give up on the pellets yet, are there any other doctors in your area that you could try?

I started with 7 pellets and didn't have any negative reaction, only just a feeling of being incredibly stoked on life! No mood swings or anything.

I would have thought that the only contraindication to pellets, following the initial screens was whether you can afford them. I was on them after 3 months. It was the only delivery that my body would tolerate. But I didn't try injections (thank goddess!)
