Title: Worthwhile nonprofits to donate to?
Post by: Dee on November 30, 2013, 06:43:07 PM
Hey all!

So Christmas is a month away.  Family members have been asking about what I'd be interested in, and there's nothing I'd prefer more than for donations to be made to some worthwhile nonprofits.  Particularly, those that cater towards transgendered care and advocacy, and LGB rights.  Of course, anything else worthwhile catches my attention. :)

So what do we have?  I like giving people a list of options.  I've got GLAAD Boston, Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MASS TPC), National Center for Transgender Equality, and this site (of course), but was thinking it might be more helpful if there were organizations for areas that weren't particularly trans-friendly.  Please feel free to list your suggestions.

Thank you so much!

Transgender Law Center is one I give to, as well as my local LGBT center and a site called Kiva, though they're not LGBT-related.
