please wait to finish laughing before replying
Discharge is a bad sign and you might want it checked out just to be safe. Ouch. This happened to me when I was 12 and they ended up removing "vestigial girl parts" from it that hadn't quite formed. I wish they would have removed it completely (and the other one!). Now one is twice as big as the other.
That sounds awful, more cringing than laughter here.
As I understand, the formula goes: injury to testis + blood in urine or ejaculate => ultrasound and repair or removal as warranted. The concern is loss of fertility or hormones - oh the tragedy - or infection - not good at all. Unlikely so deep in a clean part of the urogenital tract, but if an infection starts, it'll be dangerous.
Maybe you won an unplanned orchi, more likely it's just a small bruise and they'll want to send you home with NSAIDs and antibiotics.
....
Now, I think the lesson learned is to never use the expression "I'd give my right nut for..." Fate has a wicked sense of humor. ;D
Seriously though, supportive underwear, ice for swelling, and get seen soon is what I'd do.
Ouch. There can be more than one cause and may not be related to tucking so you should get it checked ASAP, especially if there's blood being discharged.
I've had problems with varicoceles since I was a teen, left untreated it caused inflammation. It's like varicose veins but in the balls! Sorry if that's TMI! Actually resulted in me having undersized testes, so it was a blessing in disguise even though it was often uncomfortable if not actually painful. HRT has actually helped with that condition.
I once had a abdominal infection that got into the testicular cavity and effected one testicle. The first day it just felt like a stomach ache and I went about my day just bearing it. The second day I went to work and ended up laying on my office floor in complete agony as by then the testicle had swollen to three times it's normal size. I literally crawled out of the office to go to the doctors office and was off work for a few more days while taking some hefty antibiotics. I had discharge and my gosh it was bleh disgusting. The funny thing was when I was at the doctors office he said we might have to cut them off "that prospect made me actually feel good" but he was only joking trying to lighten the mood but I think my reaction threw him for a loop instead :D
went to the emergency room today as the swelling continued over night, turns out to be an infection from the bladder that moved down to the testies, heavy duty antibiotics and rest for a few days, its about the size of a lemon so getting around not so much of an option right now.
thank you all for advice to get it checked turns out it could have went way bad to ignore
love you all
Jerri
Size of a lemon? ow!
Glad you got it sorted, those sort of things can go bad. Get well soon!
I dont mean to alarm you, but something very similar happened to me a year and a half ago. They also told me it was a UTI and gave me 25 days of two different antibiotics, before going to a heavy duty antibiotic that they use to treat anthrax, pefloxacin or something like that. it was similar to cipro. In the end I had a terrifing reation to it and was bed ridden for several months. So, my advice to you is that if it doesn't get better after a few days on antibiotics go back and ask for an ultrasound. Perhaps consider telling the ER doctor how you hurt yourself, if you haven't already.
I know how horrible this situation is and I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Mary
the er doc had me set a follow up with a urologist which I see Wednesday morning, my regular doctor which I went to see today, was also concerned that i may have torn something lose or have a blockage in that plumbing and has asked for an ultra sound. I was very upfront with the er doc of possible effects that I may have induced as she was very quite concerned when i listed my meds and that infection that they identified is not common in males, that particular er is part of a very religious based group who openly do not support and will not treat anyone for transgender issues, they have a huge influence on the medical support in the county, I do have a great doctor who is working with me regardless due to many years of family practice for all of my family here.
I am on cipro now which has cleared my urine but the swelling has no relief yet.
hopefully this string will alert others to how important it is seek medical assistance straight away, to avoid any long term effects that could influence being able to have srs

Hoping everything works out for you Jerri. Wishing nothing but the best.
