Question:
so which do you prefer when wearing skirts or dresses, bare legs, or nylons (pantyhose, tights, thigh highs etc.)
Option 1: bare legs
Option 2: nylons.
Remember nylons are covering any type, not just pantyhose.
my answer of bare legs is sort of weather dependent, if its freezing I will wear nylons in a heartbeat..
Personally i prefer tights, pantyhose or thigh highs over bare legs any day regardless of the time of the year. The reason i say this is your legs look better and you as an individual look more polished and your outfit looks more put together. Plus heels and flats fit so much better and don't want to slide off your foot after an hour because of foot sweat.
Bare legs. I wore nylons when I started wearing skirts, but they irritate me, especially if I have any leg hair. Maybe after HRT and hair removal.

Yea, it's a winter/summer thing. I don't like my pantyhose so it's usually knee high or thigh highs. Picked up new black sweade boots today, and trying them on now with black knee highs, and a black gypsy skirt. Oh yes, I have a nice gray top on - and since my day is over, no bra. Now this is the way to relax with a beer and watch football. Yea, I'm girl who still likes football :icon_chick:
Yes, same here. Not really sure I'd be game to go bare legged in winter, at least not without a pair of knee high boots!
Bare legs unless I'm wearing a long shirt that would look cute with tights. I never wear nylons or stockings or anything of that nature though.
Bare legs in capris, nylons in a dress/skirt. They really smooth out any imperfections, and help make the presentation complete.
imho
Bare legs, i can't stand being constricted, even jeans are off putting as weird as it sounds.
Like others, it depends on the weather. I love the summer when I can break out the hot pants!
Nylons are for women who don't look good with bare legs. ;D
I wear them very, very occasionally for fancy-dos or if I need to get to an interview without having had the time to shave my legs but, really, once you've been on HRT for a while, assuming that you don't have crazy-dark hair that shows up after a single day, shaved legs and bare skin are perfectly fine. I know a few women who wear them on a regular because of their job (government employees, especially at the upper levels of management, bankers, etc) but, really very few women I know wear them at all.
Tights, on the other hand... well that's a different story. They're fashionable right now (still kinda sorta fading out a little but still 'in') and they're available in really cute patterns for daily wear and some outrageous ones for having fun with. (I play derby so I get to wear all the crazy ones for the fun of it.)
Depends on the weather.
I love wearing nylons.. but if its warm I will go bare legged.

Exactly! A top reason for covering my old legs.
Exactly! I'm open to any help I can get lol
always pantyhose or thigh-highs for me even though my legs are very smooth with no marks or nicks. they actually would look good bare but i love the professional dress look. that is how i wish i could dress. it actually feels liberating to be constrained by hose!
Spring/Summer is always bare with open toe heels. Fall/Winter is always leggings, tights, or nylons with closed toe heels.
I have to say nude or tan nylons/pantyhose are never an option.
Any tights/nylons/pantyhose with open toed shoes are also NEVER an option.
with me, it all depends on the dress or skirt, I have a few that look shockingly bad without dark tights.
I absolutely ADORE tights and leggings! Black or maroon especially. Definitely I have the legs for it and they feel amazing. What's a real joy is that my legs are so long I can still show plenty of legging between tall boots and a skirt. My hips are too narrow to go without the skirt though. Gotta have that for the illusion of curves.

agreed.. when I wear pantyhose/stockings.. always closed shoes.. Plus I normally buy pantyhose/stockings with re-enforced toe.. and that looks ugly with an open toe shoe.
I've always found thatmy legs look best in pantyhose. As for tone, I'd choose either suntan, off black or beige. And I always prefer to wear sandlefoot as opposed to reinforced toe brand.
I haven't wore hose for quite awhile because I've been in denial about my true gender. I'm on HRT now so I'll be hitting the streets again soon . I think I'll just go bare because pantyhose can be a hassle. Nylons look great but I'll probably do bare and see how it goes. I live by a university and a lot of girls go bare.
I have great curvy legs that are naturally hairless and I love to show them off. Unfortunately being very pale skinned (which goes with being hairless and having to avoid the sun) I have no colour without nylons. But I only own one pair of regular nylons and have a preference for sexy patterned hose,
During the winter they look & feet great however I normally do not wear hose. I live in the southeast US.
I find that, if all else fails, nylons will help your feet slide into those shoes that were the biggest they do in that style and which your feet - just barely - fit into :D
I NEVER go bare legged because of the knee replacement and due to all the terrible mistakes they made I have some varicose veins in the same leg, my left, and it's noticeable without stockings, hose, tights or leggings. Besides, I love wearing any and all of them. I guess I'd be considered a girly-girl and it makes me laugh when a few of the girls here intimate that that's a side effect of being newly full time. The thing is I used to wear pants all the time and owned one dress I never wore for the first six months or more. I love dresses and skirts, what can I say?

I agree GF. There is nothing worse than having a really nice pair of high heels without wearing hose so they feel good & your footies slide in easy. Size 10 for me however most nice shoes are too narrow for my big feet.
It's going to have to be nylons all the time for me. I've got some seriously ugly skin discoloration in my lower legs that just I'm just not going to show to the public. Thanks diabetes. :/
