Bought some boxer briefs today. First time trying them on. I'm not sure if it is the tightness around the legs or lack of tightness around the crotch but its DIFFERENT!
so comfy though! =D im a bit of an underwear addict these days, i have 28 pairs :p ... after i threw out 6 today >.<
Enjoy!
Very comfy, when i started wearing them for the 1st time it was weird at 1st, but now i cant stop buying them.
They felt a little weird to me at first. But I really like them now. It took me a couple tries to get ones I like. I wear the Fruit of the Loom (I think) ones without the elastic in the waist. Someone said they don't last so long, but haven't had any trouble.

Exactly how I felt wearing my first pair too XD

I'm starting to build up an underwear army, I have more than enough but I really only count the 10 non-multi-pack ones I have. I buy underwear almost every time I add something to my wardrobe- still building a male wardrobe, keep finding things I am without.
If you count the multipack underwear I believe I have 23 pairs?
nothign wrong with a good multipack! i tend to get them in 2 or 3 packs, all the colors of the rainbow =p i prefer print really ;D my favourite are my star wars jedi ones >_< milestone fitting into those bad boys! eying off bjorn borgs now, but surgery > more awesome bum huggers!
glad im not the only addict =p
Yes, these are the best option, aren't they. I really hated the tightie whities.
I preferred the Calvin Klein boxer briefs with the thicker waisband not so long ago. Nice soft fabric, didn't ride up or fall down, and plenty of room in there with ample support. Of course I really liked them because they were so soft and silky compared to everything else!
Naked infront of the mirror singing "I'm dancing in my boxers" Xd
They are so much comfier than women's underwear. After wearing them for the first time I never wanted to go back.
The tightness around the thighs is just due to how low they go compared to women's underwear. I love my boxer briefs. Of course, since I am in Japan and men have way cuter underpants than women I have ended up with enough to provide an army with crotch support :D Boxers were too loose for me and rode up my legs all the time, and I hate-hate-hate tightie whities, but boxer briefs are perfect. Speaking if which, I had to throw a pair out... Time to go back to the store...
Edit to add: the tightness lessens the more you wear them, unless they are spandex or Lycra.
I bought the 6 pack of Hanes, my girl undies were Hanes. I can see how the boxer part will be nice when outside and just in general, my thigh fatness won't stick or rub together. It's not huge but one of those things...
Though they don't roll up but they like move up like a crotch elastic on and off, thats weird feeling.
You can try tighter fitting ones, if its really uncomfortable. I find that cotton ones are more uncomfortable than the tighter fitting spandex or athletic underwear. I don't know if you order things online, but the underwear carried by uniqlo, a Japanese company, are more comfortable than Hanes or jockey to me personally. They are higher cut on the thigh and hold everything more. My husband (bio male) likes them because of the support and also because he sometimes hates that space between the fabric and his groin. There are also underwear designed for packing that are a little tighter. That was how I made my transition from the boy short style female underwear to male underwear.
A plus to uniqlo is that the shorts have a huge variety of colors and styles. Much more than I have even seen in American women's underwear.
Yeah, another bad thing about the spandex/athletic type ones is that they retain heat like NO OTHER. I guess cotton is just more breathable?
Must be nice! I used to live in boxer briefs (just the perfect combo of support and freedom) now, after my phallo, It looks like there is an anaconda sliding down my leg if I don't wear briefs. Oh well I know there are worse problems to have.
Another perk is after my top surgery I feel as if I could walk around in just my boxers. No nasty pubics trying to sneak out.
I am underwear obsessed as well. It took me a long time to find just the right pair. I don't like boxer briefs because they are too long. They not only ride up, but it adds too much material in my pants for the "look" I like.
The underwear I buy now is Calvin Klein Pro Stretch Trunks. Perfect! They aren't cheap and you can't get them in 3 packs, but they last forever. Trunks are the way to go if you like how the "crotch" of a boxer brief, but not the long length.

Lol! Yes, definitely worse problems. I actually thought of this when talked to my ex about phallo, wondering if I'd have that issue since they can be quite large. And she's like "just wear them anyway, it would be hot" :P

Exactly how I felt when I (finally!) started wearing regular boxers.
I've become something of an underwear addict myself - but, my skin's ultra sensitive to stiff fabrics (the only boxers I can wear well are Hanes - very, very soft cotton), so I'm making myself wait to get something with cool patterns that's a bit higher quality.
They are a pain to put on with tight-ish jeans, however - so boxer briefs might be my next fascination, if they're better with not bagging up.
I wear both cotton boxer briefs as well as the athletic spandex type. I started out with the loose boxers and those are what I sleep in now. The boxer briefs are for when I'm at home relaxing and the athletic are what I wear when I go out since those give me the most support.
I can only wear the slightly longer-legged boxer briefs which have a bit more room in them - not the short, super-tight ones. They always look great on the models or on the hangers, but on me they just seem to fit like boy-cut girl underwear.
The first time I wore men's underwear years ago I was amazed at how much better they felt than women's. I quit women's, was a fan of commando, then went with men's. They seem to be made better too. I'm sort of addicted to underwear too, whereas before I hated underwear.
I have so many different styles--one thing I've found that may be helpful is that when I wear regular boxers (they're my favorite) & want to pack, I use a packing harness.
man boxer briefs are just the least comfortable. Well not the least, but I can't seem to get over the leg squeeze.... then again I've only tried one brand. I go for straight boxers.

I wonder if the squeezing would promote circulation and in turn help with loss in the thighs?

I seriously doubt it. BTW, I get boxer briefs that are a little big for me and they don't squeeze so i probably don't know for sure. Sounds very dubious.

I LOVE boxer briefs! I have Taekwon-do thighs and if I could get my top half to look anything like my thighs, I'd be laughing! Anything tight fitting just accentuates the leg muscles and well...I can be vain! :P
But they're comfy as heck. The bad part is that they do need regular replacing because they lose their tightness after a while and get too baggy and thus bunch up under pants but still worth it in the long run for me.
I have quite the collection myself! Lol
I bought a new 6 pack after finding a 1$ off coupon in the first pack.

I'm assuming by "loss" you mean weight loss? Like Jay, I also seriously doubt that. Its not really a squeeze so much as a tight-ish presence that ends up bothering the hell out of me. It'd be more likely for a choker to help you loose neck weight than boxer briefs to help loose thigh weight.
I never got used to boxer briefs myself and liked them less when I started packing. I very anti harness... I made the switch to men's briefs (or whitey tighties, though mine aren't white). It's easy to pack without having extra stuff digging into my waist (having that problem currently damn binder). And actually packing aside I'd still be a briefs guy. Boxers are insanely comfortable for sleep and lazy days though.
I love trunks. Especially the kind that wick away moisture. For me boxer briefs are nice-looking but are just way too much fabric for Florida weather. Trunks are awesome. Speaking of which, I need to order some more... I've been losing weight, and my current ones are too big now. Weight loss: great for health and self-confidence, but very bad for the wardrobe and thus the wallet. Heh.

I hear you! here thankfully we can pick up tees for $5 and shorts for $10 at kmart, no sense spending loads on clothes im going to replace in a few weeks :3
My mom just bought me a package of them this week and I love them. I used to sneak my step-dads boxer briefs and my mom found out so she bought me some.
Much more comfortable than panties, and it lessens my dysphoria (when I don't think about not having the right genitals in my briefs :().
I go back and forth when it comes to underwear...
I was very loyal to Evolve Sport Trunks from Target for several years. They are cut shorter than average boxer briefs, but longer than a regular brief. The waistbands are durable and if you pack, they are almost perfect to contain things, imo.
My last batch wore out too bad for daily wear about a year ago and I couldn't find them online. Local Target carries them, but they never have my size in stock. >:(
I also wore boxers sometimes. I like Joe Boxer brand or the novelty kind like DC superheroes, Simpsons, South Park, Spongebob, etc. I used to have a good-sized collection but over the years, they've disappeared or I've thrown them out when they became too worn out.
Lately I've been wearing women's underwear again. Mostly because I have gained weight and none of my guys' underwear really fit anymore. Once I lose weight, I will be going back to guys' underpants. 8)
I've got kind of a beer gut so I've never been able to find ones that fit me right. By the time they aren't digging into my belly they're too big everywhere else and get bunched up under my trousers. And I refuse to succumb to either vigorous exercise or the "my waistline is below my gut" look for at least another few years. I found some lady-boxer things that I really like though. They're Hanes and they're sold as boxer briefs for women, but end up fitting me how the men's ones are supposed to but never actually do. As long as they look like standard man pants it works for me.

I wear the same kind of underwear. Men's boxer briefs never fit right and just feel uncomfortable.
I love boxer briefs I also like just boxers though. But I like how briefs fit.
I like boxer briefs when I go out, the micro fiber ones are the bomb lol I get them from kohls on sale, Boxers are nice when I'm just relaxing at home.
In the summer I sit around all the time in boxer briefs and a t-shirt. This year maybe no t-shirt. LOL.
All I need is the beer, which I can't drink.
