Title: Testosterone left in sub-zero temperatures
Post by: greypeacock on December 09, 2013, 06:08:56 PM
I thought it would be delivered to my door but we found it jammed in the mailbox in sub degree weather (-12C). Dunno how long it was out there. Still in liquid form but the box was chilled to about the temperature you'd like a Pepsi at. Did this harm my T? Strohecker's said they'd mail me a tracking number but never did. I don't think oil even freezes, though. Should it be okay?

Shouldn't be too much risk unless it has frozen over in some way (ice crystals inside the vial). The shelf life isn't as long but that's a small thing considering how long it lasts. Just make sure it's at room temp before use.

The worst that would happen is you'd wind up with some crystallized T at the bottom of the vial. In that instance you would need to warm it up a bit and to do that, you'd just have to roll it between your hands (DON'T try it any other way, it is actually excessive heat and direct light that damages T). It shouldn't take much and you can also shake the vial too (it'll settle without air), just don't drop it. As long as it is NOT a murky white or other off-color than its normal clear, it's fine.

BTW, oil and alcohol don't typically freeze in normal circumstances (e.g. they do only in laboratory settings and that usually entails cryogenic freezing), only the T itself would freeze and which would be those crystals. If there weren't any of those crystals it is perfectly unscathed.
