I've already posted some, but decided I probably ought to do an intro post too.
When I told my family a couple of years ago that I thought I might be a guy, nobody was surprised. I mean, as a child all my Halloween costumes were male (Charlie Chaplin, Dracula, etc). In second grade I tried to get everyone to adopt the masculine version of my birth name, because I wanted so badly to be a boy. I've only worn makeup as an adult a few times, and didn't even wear any at my own wedding. I've always tended towards men's clothes. You get the idea. In college I was writing papers about trans issues. How I didn't put all these things together until I was 35 is, in hindsight, quite weird.
But I am quite comfortable with myself now, for the most part, although I do struggle with the whole label thing. I look pretty butch, but I don't particularly act like it, so I might be genderqueer. Not sure. I prefer "he" as a pronoun, though.
My wife and I live near Orlando, Florida, USA. I don't want to go on T because I'm okay with my body except for the sexual bits. I want top surgery as soon as I can afford it. Haven't decided about bottom surgery yet, though.
Nice to meet you all!

P.S. Does your name mean injured? I always liked German!

Shaina, verkatzt is a made-up word a German-speaking couple I know came up with. It means "to be trapped under a cat and not wanting to move said cat because you don't want to make kitty sad." As in, "Sorry, dear, I can't do the dishes right now because I'm verkatzt!" I'm a huge cat lover, so I am verkatzt quite often. :D

Haha that's really funny! I love it! :D
Welcome to the community! Your story sounds similar to my own, it's good to meet you.
Hello and welcome to the forums. I'm happy that you are comfortable with yourself.
:)
Hi there VerKatzt! I love the name as well. I know some Germain words, 'cos I listen to SODOM a German band and they tend to write some songs in German. It's an interesting language. But anyhoo, welcome to our family here at Susan's. I just live on the other side from you here in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Yeah, I like some German bands too, mostly Rammstein and older KMFDM stuff. So my tiny German vocabulary involves some pretty odd words at this point... :D
Hi Verkatzt, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm up near Boston. Grab some snacks and I'll see you around the site, hugs, Devlyn
