Title: Spironolactone and long-distance running
Post by: 930310 on December 22, 2013, 02:39:40 PM
Hi, I have just a quick question regarding the effects of spiro on your aerobic capacity. I know that you might feel tired and unwilling to do very much if you are taking HRT-doses of spironolactone. My question is if it has any effect on your performance-level?
The distances I'm talking about are >10km.
I'm just asking it because I am a competitional runner at national level for men and I'm afraid that HRT would lower my performance.

It probably will in the long run just because there wont be any T for added muscle. I think it is 2 years to run on the women's side.
