Breadaway, and Catch My Breath - by Kelly Clarkson
Yea, I know they're pop songs, but I love 'em and turn the volume way up when they're on.
If No One Will Listen by Kelly Clarkson and Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson!
"If No One Will Listen"
Maybe no one told you
There is strength in your tears
And so you fight to keep from pouring out
But what if you unlock the gate that keeps your secret soul
Do you think there's enough to that you might drown?
If no one will listen
If you decide to speak
If no one is left
Standing after the bombs explode
If no one wants to look at you
For what you really are
I will be here still
No one can tell you where you alone must go
There's no telling what you will find there
And, God, I know the fear that eats away at your bones
Screaming every step, "Just stay here"
If you find your fists are raw and red from beating yourself down
If your legs have given out under the weight
If you find that you've been settling for a world of gray
So you wouldn't have to face down your own hate
"Breakaway"
Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I'd just stare out my window
Dreaming of what could be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray (I would pray)
Trying hard to reach out
But when I tried to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I prayed I could break away
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I love
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway
Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)
And breakaway

Not so much songs related to transgender, but more of a soundtrack to my coming out and then the beginning of transition has been Daft Punk Random Access Memory.
It was on constant play for two months for me :)
The song that gave me the last push to transition: keep it coming, starkillers and nadia ali.
"With my own eyes I deny it, but now there's no way out, and no point trying. I, I can't escape it. We'll just embrace it."
"This is all i've wanted yet I keep on running, i'm running. So I am running."
Made me realize it's not going away and that no matter how much I try to deny and bury it away, it will come back, and that I should accept it. Tired of running.
Everything Reminds me of My Therapist - Nancy Tucker
Do it Anyway - Ben Folds Five
Best Imitation of Myself - Ben Folds Five
Break my Stride - Matthew Wilder
The oldie but goodie: Man I feel like a woman by Shania Twain. It's cheesy but it really where I'm at with my transition. It's been tons of fun and exciting to explore new things and express myself and be accepted by my friends and family :)

For Me it's Dude looks like a lady Arrow Smith And Get Back The Beetles And She's A Lady Tom Jones
Visions - Eagles
Mostly Godsmack's I stand alone and serenity.
When I need help the most is usually when I am the quietest.
Taylor Swift - You belong to me.
I've loved that song all my life, and I've always been the other girl watching the cheer captain get the guy.

Listening to the song while watching the film clip, I just get the impression from it of a person stuck in a life they don't like, they don't understand, and then when all hope is lost, there is that little trigger that makes you think "I will become who I want to be, and stuff what anyone thinks
Great topic!! :) Well before anyone else posts it lol.. This one has always cheered my up when I'm feeling a bit down.. The lyrics really apply to transitioning, finding yourself and finding love.. such a beautiful song :) Enjoy..

^^^^^^^ THIS! THIS THIS THIS!!! :)
Also, the entire album: The Heroin Diaries by Sixx A.M. Not so much that I can relate heroin addiction to transitioning but it's more of a "breaking the cycle" thing for me.... rebirth, getting out of a toxic situation, finding an ultimate low in life and coming back from it better than before, being new and healthy again... Idk, it works for me. I find his story inspirational.
