I normally don't share much about my personal life on here, but I'm really ecstatic right now
I was bummed out when none of my blood family remembered my birthday (dec 27). But today a card came in the mail, albeit a bit belated, a birthday card signed by my mom, my step dad, and all my siblings.
I called my mom to say thanks, and we had a bit of a conversation.
Now, I still talk to my family members occasionally....but when I came out four years ago, everyone said they never wanted to physically see me again, either in person or pictures.....which really, really hurt....but with time I came to terms with it....anyway, my sister came around, and sees pictures of me and my baby on facebook, but nobody else has....or so I thought
But when I talked to my mom on the phone she was talking about my three month old, her grandbaby, and she said "I saw pictures of you and the baby....er..um, I saw pictures of the baby....." She got really flustered and quickly made an excuse to get off the phone...
My mamma looked at my pictures!!!!!! She must have asked my sister to show her those too!!!! It's a small step, to be sure, but an ounce of acceptance from my mother is HUGE for me!!!!!
