I found an interesting tibit whilst researching Dr Suporn's non penile inversion technique. Aparantly self lubrication is possible around a year post-op.
Is this claim valid because that would be amazing if so?
It's also a lot more of an invasive surgery. Invasive = more possible complications, some very bad. One of them is ending up with a permanent colostomy requiring bags for life. Check out all of the adverse conditions possible before going this route. You are young though and should do well anyway.
It's mostly marketing material; some of his patients are ok down there and some need a little "help" like many cis women. It's just the nature of skin based vajayjay materials.

Which is true with any vaginoplasty (colon perforation) which a well trained surgeon should be able to address intra-op before it becomes a really bad thing(tm).
Some lady had gotten this procedure and she was happy with the final result... A year later of course, but during the healing process she said it had a very unpleasant smell that took a while to go away. I wish I had the source.
Some if the tissues acquire new characteristics. (I think)
I am not a Suporn girl, and I did have the urethral mucosa tissue used in my labia minora which has given me some lubrication, but while my Post Op instruction is buried by now, I do remember it saying that some of the vaginal tissue is generally going to become more moist and that more normal female vaginal microorganisms will begin growing there, which does encourage the skin to produce moisture up inside the neo-vagina. I am just one year post now and the smell has changed so I know the female flora is there. I do not have enough to be fully comfortable without some helpful water based lubricant, but I can feel a more moist tissue inside than there used to be.
All I can add is when stimulated I become very lubricated, I am sure some of you are much wiser then me and research shows otherwise but that is how it is for me.
I have been post op for a few years now, a supporn girl
Difficulty in maintaining width seems to be a comment made by a number of Suporn girls. Any comments?

I've read reports (in several places) that it's true, but it's a YMMV thing. Some do better than others. But since Suporn doesn't remove the Cowper's gland (I'm not clear on what the other notable surgeons do) it's been reported that if it happens at all, the lubrication (aka pre-cum) enters the area from the urethra just above the opening to the vagina ~ and not through any of the vaginal mucosa ~ which is still a rather convenient location. I don't know if it's proper to post a link here, but below is one of my sources. Scroll down to the area called "Sexual Response". I believe some of the girls were discussing it on the Suporn Yahoo! Group, as well.

I can believe it, as someone who had boring penile inversion and still self-lubricates. :)
(Brassard also leaves the Cowper's gland intact, as I understand it, plus transplants some extra urethra mucosal tissue to places where cis women have mucosa and that provides a little bit of additional lubrication.)
Thanks for chiming in Jenna. I was going comment on Brassard's urethral mucosa technique (but I felt I wasn't really schooled enough on his method for that). Though I can't do the penile inversion thing...Brassard's amazing for that insight, and Suporn should really consider the integration of this facet into his technique, especially since Suporn's techniques seem to stress the donor tissue conservation/repurposing thing as highly as it does.
livinit : I agree that it would fit with Suporn's philosophy, and make an already fantastic technique even better.
(Brassard uses urethral mucosa to line the inner portion of the labia minora and the clitoral hood, if you were curious; the outer sides of both are normal skin, it looks like. I do get a little moisture from my personal version of this tactic, though not nearly enough to count as self-lubricating or to routinely need a pantiliner, both of which I've heard from other Brassard patients.)
I did a Google search for lubrication with Dr. Suporn and ended up here. I've been post-op since 2002 and continue to self-lubricate, enough for sex though I do have lube on-hand. One strange thing for me is that I tend to lubricate more with "visual" rather than "sensory" stimulation, so I lubricate when I look at my partner but not when my eyes are closed and I only feel him stimulating me. Maybe it's a throwback to the fact that it's originally a male gland that's being stimulated and men tend to be more stimulated by visual information I don't know...
Now one thing I'm curious about is if anyone has asked their partner how their come tastes compared to those of cis-women. I'm curious to ask my bf but have been kinda chicken about it. Maybe I'll work up the courage and report back. ^-^
I had set with Suporn just over 8 years ago. I can self-lubricate, but not always. Last year I also discovered that I am multi-orgasmic. My record so far is 12 in a row :)
