Title: Need a question answered pretty please
Post by: Lana P on December 31, 2013, 01:49:29 PM
Ok so I started my transition more than 10 years ago. Been on hormones for the same amount of time. I had my orchi this past September. I have no problems getting aroused or getting wet for that matter if I'm super turned on I get very wet precum or whatever you call it. My question is would this still be the same after getting srs done?. Would I still be able to get wet or would that change? From what I have read thus far on here I'm assuming this is a good thing to have.

I will 100% be likely be going to Dr Brassard to get srs done just not sure when.

I think it very much depends, but it's hard to imagine that would be a *bad* sign. :)

Personally, I didn't get wet at all before... and I still definitely self-lubricate now. (Another Brassard customer.)

Those secretions come from various uretral glands which aren't to be removed, no matter what your
surgeon and what the technique. The amount of them will mostly depend on your hormone levels
(even with the Testis removed, your body will produce some androgens the same, mostly the adrenal
glands). Those are the same androgens responsible of sex drive even in females. You may end up having
them very low after some months, so no secretions, or still have some. It will depends on your body and on
your HRT. The only issue is that, being them urethral secretions, they're not always so useful to lubricate the
vagina for an intercourse, unless they're very copious and/or the urethra very close to introitus. Here is
where the surgery technique might make some difference. Btw, never forget about female eiaculation, it's
pretty the same thing.

Mirian : Well, the urethra *should* be located very close to the vagina; certainly it is in cis females. In my case, I'm not 100% sure where all the lubrication is coming from (except that I do know a bit is from the extra urethral tissue repurposed to be mucosal lining of my clitoral hood and inner portion of the labia minora), in large part because it's impossible for me to distinguish between urethral and vaginal contributions. I can live with that. :)

At 50 weeks I still need two changes of underwear per day, and when dilating I cannot account for all the goo present on site by the lube I am using on my "boyfriend", more out than in for sure.  I was not a Brassard girl, but my construction is very similar to Jenna's and Izzy's.  It will take time to stabilize, and do not panic if it is not all there at week two.  I have stuff changing for the better every week or two.
