Title: Packing & harnesses
Post by: Mattfromengland on January 07, 2014, 07:39:23 AM

Anybody manage to pack WITHOUT using a harness?

Thanks :D

Many people, including me.

Ah cool, and you don't find it wiggles into the wrong place?

I have many pairs of stretchy boxer type briefs which aren't loose. There's no way it's going to fall out, but I feel like my legs will push the packer up too high.

Only got my first packer today by the way, so just trying it out right now.

You can just stuff it in, in which case it will shift around a bit. You can put it in the 'pocket' created by the front opening, in which case you don't feel it as much, and to me feels odd, but it stays in place.

Ok thanks.

I guess I need to have a play and see what works for me :D

Only when wearing tighty whities.

Never wore tighty whiteys, I use boxer briefs and they work well.

Yes, there are so many different options and new things come out all the time.  I have been "playing" with what works best for years! (although I am settled with something now).  Back when I first started packing I didn't know of websites (forums like this one), and such for advice, so I pretty much figured it out myself. People have different preferences; you will figure out what works for you.

I did it much like Lord KAT. I used boxer briefs and only wore (and hated) tighty whities a few times.
You can also make a carrier out of an old sock, and pin to the briefs. They make these commercially as well.

My spouse used a Cup Supporter (aka jock strap with cup) It holds it in place where the cup would have went.

I like the idea of pinning to briefs rather than a harness round me. I'd hate and resent the fact that I can feel it round me and that have to wear it.

If possible I'd like to not have to do anything, however that also poses an annoyance as it makes going to the loo slightly more troublesome when you have a loose thing in there. I hate that guys can pee really easily and quickly and that we (those that don't use an STP anyway) have to pull everything down and sit down etc. Add to that a lump that could fall out and that I have to hold onto and replace etc making a wee take even longer, that's a slight downside. Although overall I guess not a massive one, and one that can be coped with.

Mine flopped around too much in the boxer briefs.  I rarely pack but if I do I use the enhancing underwear from Andrew Christian. Expensive but I take out the foam 'enhancer' and put in my small 3.5" Mr. Limpy packer.

I've used the same combination.  I found that the packer rides up too much, that the pocket doesn't allow the packer to drop deep enough into the pocket and remain down where it belongs.

I use jock strap from Joe Snyder pretty much exclusively now.  I still use Mr. Limpy 3.5, or more recently, the ReelMagik basic packer.  I am still trying to get used to the heft of that one, though.

I actually kind of pinned it twice. Once with the sock and the other closing the fly. It works, if I get all the pins straight and don't do anything weird with it when I used the bathroom. I don't use a packer now, just got irritated down there with just about everything.

I wear boxer briefs and about 90% of the time I don't use a harness, just takes getting used to

I wear trunks usually and it just stays in place where i put it, never rises up too high. I only ever had an issue with it being too high when I tried using packing trunks. (They were bullet briefs from tranzwear)
