So spiro having the effects on potassium that it does, does anyone have any advice for keeping electrolytes up when sweating profusely? I mean hair soaked, shirt soaked, even panties completely soaked in sweat.
I work with roughly 1800° furnaces and 200-400° parts all day long at work....and since it's a factory its not at a slow pace either.
Obviously my usual plan of a banana washed down with a bottle of Gatorade won't work cuz of all of the potassium.....
So any advice?
Contact your pharmacist for ideas on higher sodium and lower potassium drinks. Otherwise herbal iced teas are pretty neutral in the balance. Worst case scenario is plain old water to drink and a pharmacist recommended food supplement.
You can take sodium tablets. Electrolyte drinks have potassium, so be careful, and too much potassium can cause problems, like cardiac dysrhythmias.
