Title: pink essence?
Post by: VikkiM on January 13, 2014, 10:46:29 PM
I hope someone here can help me out. There is a site called pinkessence, that has a member I am trying to get into contact with. She had an orchiectomy performed in the same city as me, and I would love to ask her what the Doctors name is, to save my calling every urologist in Columbus Ohio. Unfortunately, the site requires permission to join and it seems either no new members are being accepted or the admon is just very far behind in her work.

If anyone here has access, I'm hoping you could help me out.

I hadn't heard of that site before.  I tried to join too and it seems a bit "Yankees Only".  I'm interested because my local LGBT support line has very little in the way of resources for the 'T' part.

The admin does get very behind and is quite picky about all of the fields. When I signed-up it took me multiple tries to get the "100 words about yourself" box populated with something that satisfied them.

Unfortunately, I no longer have access. I was suspended after three months on the site, apparently for having regret for SRS.

That website sucks. Apparently you can't have an opinion on anything. I got banned which is fine by me.

Probably less effort to call every urologist.

I got banned from the first site I joined, I now know why they required you apply and get permission. They were content thought controlling Na-a-a-tzeez (just said that like Brad Pitt in 'Inglorious Bastards').

I got banned and I was on my best behavior... shocking huh?  :D

But I could've done without them sending me hateful emails accusing me of trolling and telling me I'm obviously not transgender. They were simply a hateful bunch.

BTW, my user name was simply 'Kim' on that site, if anyone was there and remembers me.......... HEY!!   :icon_bat:

One reason we try to be a site that is inclusive to all of the transgender communities.

I signed up in about two minutes and now I'm pending approval.

Not a member, but my therapist recommended that I join.  Isn't it sort of like a facebook for transexuals.  That's what I've heard at least.  If it's like that, I'd recommend joining there first before contacting someone directly.  While some people don't mind sharing medical information, others might.  to be honest, I wouldn't like sharing who my therapist or endo is with anyone I don't know in real life.  Nothing wrong with asking and some won't mind at all, but not everyone would react the same way, especially if they haven't established a relationship with you yet.

Unfortunately, I faced similar claims, first that I was simply a troll, and then that I hadn't actually had SRS.
