Title: hydra's welcome post
Post by: Hydra on January 17, 2014, 02:09:26 PM
Hi everyone!

In short description, I'm a 25 y/o, genderqueer, pseudo-mtf, from Quebec.

Well, I started transitioning slowly over the last two years without hormones (stupid!stupid! :icon_anger: ). Not literally wearing female clothes, but most people got my point...!    lol -- Best time of my life! (socially, but not financially)

Ack... well, politics? After finally opening up to myself, and most of my surroundings, it seems only "authority" misunderstood my plight.
(ie: bosses/HR, therapists... conservatives in power basically worried or averted)

Got in trouble last summer. Some under-educated health care workers thought I was psychotic, though I'm sure much had to do with my queer presentation. Looking young for 25, get treated like a retard sometimes usually. Or maybe everyone is retarded and treating me normal? Nah, its kind of both, but more the first.

Well, omitting the 1st world sob story, I can say I was wrongfully imprisoned. It totally crushed me. Scared of transitioning now, but I was fearless. (My nose is so ugly. )

But I'm getting back on track. Starting a programmer/analyst degree next month... so, yet another geek/coder ::)

Otherwise I've dabbled much in psych*** fields, somewhat in chemistry. Was studying electronic music on the side up until my psych "accident". (Doctors make the worst patients--but I'm not a doctor.  ;))

Glad this place exists, and looking forward to deep discussion!

PS: Kind of a forum and social-media noob. You can tell me if I'm being a dolt.

Welcome Hydra from sunny and warm Sydney in the land of OZ

It seems quite a few people here have survived horrible experiences to get to this point, myself included.

Glad things now seem to be look up for you.

Don't worry you will learn fast and be fine here.
Enjoy participating.

Jen

Welcome, Hydra  :)

Good to meet you.  Your experience is not too different from many on these boards.  You are among friends.

You are not a "dolt."  Feel free to just be yourself.

Hi Jamie!
Got it, it will take a while to loosen up  ;)

Hi V M !
Wanted to "ban" you earlier, missed my shot though. See you in games!
