Title: can a young ftm get prescribed growth hormones? Or does Testorone help?
Post by: tayawn on January 24, 2014, 10:12:58 PM
I'm still growing so I was wondering if I could get prescribed growth hormones ooorr even if the Testorone would work miracles & help me with my height.. because I'm only 5'3 & I don't wanna be a short man.. even 5'8 can work lol. Any hope? My mom is 5'4 & my dad is 6'0. Her side is tall/short & his side is tall/short

Yes you can! You will absolutely need support, however. The process will require consent. It will also require a lot more patience finding professionals with experience w/ young trans people, or an open mind. That's just how it is for a lot of reasons, hah.

But yes, it's possible. As far as height, I don't think you'll get any taller than you would without taking testosterone. Well, from my understanding.

Goodluck!
