Title: Documents about risks associated with HRT?
Post by: CursedFireDean on January 25, 2014, 04:28:35 PM
My mom wants to know more about possible side effects. Do you guys know of documents or sites with recent info? (Newer than 2011 if possible.)
Edit- Also if they have info about long-term T use, that'd be awesome

quick google search came up with this:
http://www.ftmguide.org/ttherapybasics.html (http://www.ftmguide.org/ttherapybasics.html)

my therapist gave me a website with this before considering hormones:
http://www.camh.ca/en/hospital/care_program_and_services/hospital_services/Documents/hormones-FTM.pdf (http://www.camh.ca/en/hospital/care_program_and_services/hospital_services/Documents/hormones-FTM.pdf)

both are pretty detailed and give you info on what you can expect. the second i found better because it gives details on a lot more than other guides, etc. however it isn't "recent" but they're still using it to provide info about hormones and the effects, etc. so it must be accurate enough.
