New Rules
1) there are no absolute truths, except the ultimate truth of the collective conscious of the universe.
2) all perceptions (what some people call reality, in reality, there is no reality) are only our individual perceptions and have no bearing on others.
3) since our perceptions are relative only to our ourselves, we should accept what others see in themselves as their truth as they should accept what we see in ourselvesas our truth.
Therefore, bickering among ourselves is meaningless and destructive. What we as transgedered individuals need to work on is bigotry among the non-transgendered population, not create bigotry amongst oursleves. The best course to follow when others try to tell us how to think is simply ignore them, especially those who hold rigid views and are burdened with stubborness.

Melissa, thanks for posting these great rules!
I'd like to add hope that we can continue having
respectful discussions, what we learn from positive discourse can ultimately help us get to the root of our own internalized issues. We all (I include myself) need to work on ourselves in order to effectively combat societal bigotry and transphobia.

I think I am in the midst of a spiritual rebirth. I felt a great serenity when I visited the Buddhist Temple Tuesday, the feeling of serenity is palpable here in Thailand where everyone is not rushing around trying to get ahead of the next guy.
