I know i can pass with lots of makeup and good head covering. I feel like its going to take forever to get hormones and then for the hormones to work till then before I could get to my goals.I just want to present as female but my environment isnt supportive. I really need to prove to myself and to others that I have been female all along. I just dont know how to do that. In terms of what I want I am way ahead of myself. Does the hormones help increase your confidence level of being female.

not really, unless the changes in appearance due to hormones increase confidence......but in truth, you have to find the confidence inside yourself.
I knew I was female when I was 4. I've been progressively achieving that goal ever since

I don't totally agree with this. Confidence does come from with in, but starting on them seems to give a good sized boost. Meanwhile, proving it to yourself is usually a matter of accepting who you are.
I feel that once the hormones start rolling I will look more feminine and it just comes naturally to me

Time living full time makes confindence more then a pill or patch. The longer you are out and about as yourself the more you stop freaking out.
I used to worry so much about my makeup, hair, nails, cloths all match....... Now sweetpants, hair a mess and no makeup to walk to the corner store is just another day in a life of NORMAL.
Everyone needs to relax, let time settle all the nerves and enjoy your life. Again Relax.

For me HRT hasn't been some magic bullet for confidence. I have a supportive environment I can't complain about that, but for me it has been very, very important to not get ahead of myself and give those around me time to adjust. My logic is if I turn up the heat on my friends slowly they won't jump out of the water even once it starts to boil.
Of course it is a battle to stick to my plans and sometimes I move forward without a gatekeeper signing off or before I have a financial problem totally solved, but at least for me this is a long process.

That is the state where I want to be in. For me being casual and naturally female is where I want to go, when i dont have to think much about it.
