Post by: Ryan55 on February 05, 2014, 07:17:19 PM
Just wondering if there are any groups people know of in rhode island, since rhode island is pretty small...anywhere in rhode island works lol

Can also extend this into Massachusetts, since its pretty close too

I'd really like to know this as well...I'm in Prov for the majority of the year, so finding a support group would be wonderful...
[[Sorry Ryan, I know it's not helpful, I guess this is more to bring the topic back to first page than anything.]]

I'm in Massachusetts, there are a lot of support groups around here.  I'm looking to get into one myself, but I'm just trying to work up the courage I suppose.  I guess finding a therapist and getting on hrt would be a good step as well, but I almost don't know what to do first.  I suppose the support group.  But yeah, I'd say look in MA.  I live in Boston and there's Fenway Health which is supposed to be great.  I got denied because there is a wait list, but there is the Sydney Borum branch - also in Boston - and they can't refuse you if you are from 18-29 years old.  I'll probably be going there next week to see if I can see a therapist.  If you'd like, I can ask about support groups there, which I'll be doing anyway.

not sure if you two are still looking though, hopefully you both got into a group already...
