Title: Changes
Post by: monica93304 on February 07, 2014, 04:49:35 AM
Hello everyone.  I've been on HRT since January 2012.  It took a while for me to notice changes when everyone else did. Lol.

I've been doing laser on my face for about 6 months and really notice the changes.

This picture that I'm sharing is the morning after with only my face scrubbed. I had not shaved in over 18 hours at the time.

I've also dropped 40 lbs in the last 6 months.  I feel great, and hope to feel better in the future.

You look great Monica! I too have been doing my own laser treatments on my face mostly (don't have much hair anywhere else) however I haven't been on hrt as long as you have. I just started aroung the first of the year. In any case you look wonderful. I hope hrt does as good for me as it has for you. ;)

Looking gooooood! :)

Are the facial laser things effective in reducing growth? Fortunately I only have hair on face and it grows pretty slow (well... I do have a tiny bit of hair on my arms and legs, but it's easy to keep that under control :P). Since my facial hair is minimal, will that help?

Thanks ladies.

The laser sessions have really slowed growth. I used to be able to rock a full beard in a few days.
At this rate I wouldn't be surprised to be rid of my facial hair in 3 to 6 more sessions. By then I hope to lose another 40 -50 lbs

It's good that your doing your laser now instead of waiting like I did. In the last year I've gotten rid of all the dark hair on my face but I'm struggling with grays. I've been using the charcoal dye but progress is slow. I despise facial hair so much though that I'll be at it until it's all gone for good. ;)

On a related note, last night I went to the local gay club in town.  I had not been there in approximately 6 months.  Very few had seen me in that time. Many didn't recognize me until they did a second take.  The weight loss not only was noticeable on my body, but in my face too.  I look a lot thinner.  I can't tell the notice as much as others can when they don't see you for a long time.

I received a lot of love, hugs and compliments while there. Many told me I look younger too! Yay!  I just wore a purple blouse and some "high water" skinny jeans with some sling back heels.  I bought those jeans four years ago but was never able to fit in them. When I tried them on last week and they fit, I almost cried of joy.

Just wanted to share my little bits of success with my sisters here. I can't wait to make more progress.

Allyda,  I know I don't post as much as other may have a chance to (being an auto mechanic keeps me busy mentally and physically). But I too appreciate the contributions that other sisters here make for the benefit of us all.

But for me there are times when I'm surprised from the positive feedback I get locally from people that have known me since I 1st came out in 2008.  When that happens it makes me look in the mirror to try and see what they see.  At times I see it easier than others. And I'm my own worst critic.  But I realize that it will always be an uphill battle to get to my desired destination within womanhood.

Oh hon we all go through that. Heck I've no idea how I pass as easily as I do especially without makeup at 50 years old. I pass without trying and can't see what others see. I see my nose being too big, and a slight bit crooked from it's break in my accident. I do have slight features and a small oval face, long straight black hair past my shoulders to about the middle of my back but I look in the mirror and only see those flaws. We are our own worse critics I suppose. I think it would benefit us all if we couldn't see ourselves in the mirror for at least 6 months. Then when we see ourselves we;d see what others see. But because we look at ourselves each day we dwell on out flaws. Just my 2 cents. ;)
