These winter Olympic Games have become controversial due to the anti-GLBT policies and laws in Russia. Are you supporting the Games by watching through some sort of media?
I might catch a hockey match when it gets close to the finals.
Other then that will not spend a dime on anything this games.

I'd like to catch some of the figure skating, if it's not over already, yeah that's about how excited I am this year about the winter Olympics. I think the fact Putin is such a tool has something to do with it. But I think it has more to do with the coverage. They're talking so much about the terrorist threat, and then Costas slobbered all over Putin's 'greatness' the other night. Really Bob? He's a peacemaker? Sports is becoming a circus, I don't enjoy them much any longer.
I don't care about the Olympics or sports in general. I would rather spork myself in the eye instead of wasting my time with that crap. Yaaaawwwwwn.
The Olympics long ago became a commercialized, jingoistic waste of time. The IOC lost whatever shred of legitimacy they had left by pandering to Putin and his goons.
I support amateur sport by watching my son play T-ball.
I'm with Laura! :P
I'll only follow figureskating because I've waited for that since the last games. Outside of that I don't want to see anything because it makes me angry!
i am boycotting the games. I can't stand Russia's stance on all things LGBT.
I'm going to watch them. I can't stand Putin, I think he's a tool but I love sports. I watched the Opening Ceremonies last night, and it was beautiful. I couldn't stand NBC's commentators constantly bringing up politics because the Olympics aren't supposed to be about politics, it's about sports.
I don't think boycotting is going to hurt the Olympics. If you're going to send a message to Russia about it's anti-LGBT laws, then protest about it and make your message heard. There's going to be thousands of people in Sochi supporting the Olympics and millions watching around the world. A few hundred people boycotting it won't hurt them.
I think the empty seats are symbolic. Every one I see reminds me of a GLBT person who is not there.
I plan to buy some Chobani Greek-style yoghurt ;)
I am boycotting the games because of Russia's LGBT laws...it's full of crap, plus there's nothing i would have really wanted to see anyway.
I haven't really been paying attention. I did see some tweets and reports about unfinished hotels and horrible living conditions, which made me laugh. I can't stand Costas. He is an idiot. The only person worse than him is when they show Cris Collinsworth, who is always smiling and rambling like a doped up moron. My 3 year old niece is more coherent than him. I also can not stand the endless parade of sob stories and profiles.
I am looking forward to the Daytona 500 in a couple weeks though :D
I'm not into sports, so I wouldn't watch either way. That being said, I detest Putin and can understand why people are boycotting for multiple reasons. After all, the lgbt issue, while serious, is not the only problem in Russia.
Instead of watching TV, I am studying the history of Sochi.

barbie~~
I like your style barbie :)
Boycotting it. I would kinda like to watch some skating but I basically refuse to.
At work people had it on in the tea room so I sat in the one spot with my back to the TV and started playing with my phone.
No country is perfect but clearly Russia in this current situation does not deserve the olympics, winter or otherwise.
If it were any other minority rather than LGBTIQ people being targeted then there would be public outrage in the streets and international boycotts.
But hey, the LGBTIQ community only makes up at least 10% of the global population...
