Title: why do i have such a feminine face?
Post by: jonjon on July 11, 2007, 11:43:59 AM
I swear it looked ace in the hairdresser's!!!

But it's my face shape - the style is good, i love the style. I took it from a male singer of which i oh so love!

am i ever going to get it right?

And in the supermarket i handed over my card with MR Rhodes written on it and the woman challenged me. I just scowled at her and told her it's my card (2nd time this has happened in the same supermarket) and she apologised... and she kinda apologised again... and then again....  ???

You have a feminine chin and eyes, when you get on hormones I think a Goatee or a Van Dyke will give you the look your after.

hmmm...according to friends mine is feminine as well...but i've seen bio guys with feminine faces so i'm not too worried. I think i read somewhere that taking testosterone or whatever it is that you can take will make your face along with the rest of your body more mascular. I hope this is true.

btw...what singer are you talking about...cuz i died my hair black and everything at one point due to being madly obsessed with Brian Molko

what a guess lol I wanted the long bits at the sides and front i've seen him with, but my hair wasn't long enough for those, but i can grow them out.

I wish getting hold of hormones was so easy, but it's not going to be another few years before i get on them 3yrs at least. And that sucks... damn NHS system us Brits have to deal with.

Yeah, testosterone does change the shape and look of your face, so that's a plus. Sure hope that three years passes quickly.

well, Wishy, I'll give you my honest opinion. The only thing female about your face is your chin. The rest is typical of the face of a young male. Based on your face, I'd say you shouldn't have any trouble passing. If you aren't passing, it must be due to your voice or something.
I know you posted something about the fat on your cheeks and wrists, but I'm really not seeing that as a problem (course I can't see your wrists lol). The placement of your eyes, nose, and mouth is all typical of a young, small male. (believe me, ok. I know what I'm talking about, as I usually go for short, small framed, baby-faced guys.) The chin really is not that off, it's just the only facial feature I could come up with as feminine.

yeah, i'd say its the chin too.  Hormones will fix that up.  Maybe in the meantime you could create a goatee with some theatre magic.

Wishy to be honest I would say that it is your chin. Plus you eyebrows are quite thin as well for a mans. However you can fix that with some eyebrow hair dye as your hair is black and you oversly have natural light brown hair. I would also stop plucking them.... thats if you do that already of course!

No, thats not what they make you do. It's the fact they have too many citizens and not enough trained staff to do the correct jobs that people like me are left waiting on waiting lists to see therapists for this kinda stuff. And prob when i do get round to seeing a therapist 2yrs down the line, they'll make me wait another year before putting me on hormones. It just makes me wana go bash the system with a hefty spiked mace and laugh in their faces... but that wont get me on hormones quicker >.>

lol everyone tells me to stop plucking my eyebrows lol I've never touched them! >.< When i was in school i felt like i had really thick eyebrows for a girl, but it's because they are so light in colour that they blend in with my skin tone. But i find running black mascara through them before bed works ^.^

Yes I've heard that. The thing is with having Black hair is it looks un-nautral. Please dont think im being nasty. I have had black hair quite a few times and I've got quite dark eyebrows but still that didn't look right. If I was you I would probebly go for a dark/light brown.

Jet black rarely look good on anyone, only asians and those with a cool tone make it work (lot of rose in the skin). If you have a warm or neutral skin tone like you (yellow base I think from the photos), it saps color from the face. A dark warm brown looks more natural.

I think you'll get there Wishy. You'll make a good looking guy. Most of the attractive hollywood guys have "feminine" face, why do you think these guys always seem to have stubbles on their face.  Check out Jonathan Rhys Meyer (British Actor in Bend It Like Beckham, Match Point, etc)

Does he have a femiine face? I'd say yes, and so what!!!!. He's a very very attractive. There are countless other examples in entertainment like him.

Yor brows are fine, as previously stated, I see nothing about you that I haven't seen something similar on a guy your size. Transpeople seem to focus on male and female extremes.

Put enough of those feminine or masculine features together and it can be the difference between being seen as male or female.  At this point I have more feminine than masculine features and that's why I'm seen as female.  I do agree that it's not necessary to be at the extreme of having all feminine or all masculine features.
