Finally told my ex. Wow, what a weight lifted off me. She just said that explains a lot and was very supportive. I am so HAPPY!

Uh Oh. I think it is just starting, and you have better expect worse episodes. Good luck and be patient.

I have to agree with barbie, prepare yourself. My wife reacted the exact same way, she even said "no ->-bleeped-<-, its obvious", but the next 3 months was a rollercoaster that passed through heaven and hell too frequently to pay attention or catch in time. Seeing as its your ex though, its different.

Congrats.

Though please be aware, it's one thing to hear the word "transgender" and it's another thing entirely to see your husband transform into a woman before your eyes.

Thanks.  :)

She has been dating for months, so I think I'm not going to have too many issues with her. I hope. She just happens to be my best friend and I didn't want to lose her. The only negative thing she said was that she understood gay but not changing my gender. That gay is something you are born with. Hopefully someday she will realize this is something I was born with. She accepts though, and wants to be there for me.

Next, my family. :o

None of this is gonna be easy, but now I feel much less overwhelmed.
