What a conference! 600 delegates from around the world. Great talks, wonderful people and everyone is transgender, gender fluid or totally accepting. To be honest if you are cis you are the "odd" one out. What a change! Had a great reception last night ended up drinking cocktails with a group of new friends. Being taken out for dinner tonight, the Thai people are wonderful loving people.
I've spoken to more surgeons, therapists and health carers than I ever knew could exist! Trans activists from every country and heard so many experiences.
Having a great time.
Cindy

Don't tell her that we'll all have to take up a collection to bail her out! :icon_hahano:
Hi, Cindy,
Enjoy your trip.
Southeast Asia is a muggy region, where they set the air conditioner temperature usually below 15 degree Celsius, requiring to wear long sleeved tops.
Last year, I had a chance to visiting Bangkok, but I gave up because I was a little bit tired of international trips. Probably next time.
barbie~~
I'll give several reports about conference issues when I get back. Promoting the web site like crazy with a lot of interest.
Crazy night ended up in an impromptu party with a group of sales people promoting contact lenses and a group of us. I will never underestimate people selling glasses for having a good time!
My inability to sleep is for once a positive.
Panadol, coffee and a cooked breakfast to restart the heart.
Sounds like you're having fun.
Can you bring me back some... ;D
Three words Cindy:
Panang Curry Chicken
Sounds like a great conference and even better, you're having a fun time! woo!
(BTW, Jen has been hogging your whips and won't let me play with them! ;) )
Yes I have Grace
You will have to come over an personally punish me. >:-)
And I will enjoy it....
Jenny, don't make me come searching for unbranded flesh..
I have a nice, hot iron handy.. >:-)
You wish Kelly
I need some support at the moment. :(
Without Cindy to whip me into shape I'm lost.
I see I'll have some floggings to do when I get home.
Quote of the night:
About ten of us at dinner someone said (tongue in cheek) to a cis woman (who is a TG therapist). "I think you are very brave going out in society dressed as a woman, but I'm sure all transgender will accept you as a sister and not regard you as odd"
Cracked the place up.
Lots of hard science showing fundamental brain differences of MtF and of FtM to their natal gender and so much more aligned to their perceived gender. HRT further changes the brain structure and function.
So many fantastic people, the friendships and networking has been incredible.
There isn't a therapist here who thinks TG need to jump through any hoops and gatekeepers are best employed as car park attendants.
There is total support for the care and treatment of gender dysphoric individuals, total acceptance of gender fluidity and no binary model.
I'll be posting heaps of stuff when I get home. But I need a nap before tonight's party.
Please tell me this is an annual conference??

Biennial. But. The Australian New Zealand conference is being held later this year in a city you have heard of and one of the organisers is known to you and she has got some awesome speakers from here coming to Australia.

Aaaahh, so it is Broome you're holding in. And how did you get hold of Browyn Bishop as an organiser?

Waaaa Ha Ha, Jill you are a riotess! :icon_hahano: :D
The conference winds up and we are off to the night markets.
Wonderful time, wonderful people.
Hey guess what?
We are not alone. We are not freaks. We are not accidents of nature. There are many millions of trans and gender fluid people in the world. Over 20 million in Asia alone.
There are therapists, surgeons, doctors, scientists, mothers, fathers, partners, children who love us and accept us.
There are people here from villages in Nepal (we think we have it tough), everywhere, every society and every religion.
We have one thing in common, we are lovely. We are worthwhile. We laugh, we tell terrible jokes, have horrible experiences. But: we never give in or give up.
I feel so inspired to not only keep helping but to drive further and to drive harder.
This single conference has been the most rewarding experience of my life - so far.
Very happy for you Sis :) Sounds like a great experience
