Title: A quick question.
Post by: kariann330 on February 17, 2014, 12:51:17 AM
So just wondering, once post op did yall have to buy a different size panty? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but im wondering if my stocking up on my current size 7 bikinis will end up biting me in the behind later on in transition, especially after surgery.

Hi Kariann,

In answer to your question, well so far, no. I have had further fat redistribution, but not to the extent of needing a different size in clothing.

By the time you're ready to get back to your own under wear (ie all bandages removed and swelling receded) there shouldn't be any need to change size.

No. I thought I would, but one experience of the dreaded front wedgie was enough. :)  As Yasmine says, comfort is everything at first, too.

I suspect that by the time I was ready to wear snug panties again, my butt had gotten just enough bigger that a smaller size wouldn't work anyway...

At least one bigger size yes, it is much more comfortable.  Post op swelling is going on for almost a year or so, and too tight there is HELL. At 13 months I have finally dropped a size there.  Your cute spandex / nylon bikinis are also gonna have to go for a few months as you will need to be wearing pads in them due to healing discharge.  Cotton should be your material of choice as I learned from a VERY uncomfortable yeast infection at my 2nd week of dilating, the cotton does wick the moisture the yeast beasts need away from the VERY sensitive skin down there.  Nylon does not do the job right.
