I served in the US Army, and I'm proud of it. Many others have served as well. The service is for men and women alike. Being in the military is no indication of your gender. It is not a vocation only open to men.
Good to see you back. Do you want to take the bus for a run?

Only if it's a dusty day in the Outback!
Hugs, Devlyn
All those touristy shots you see of Central Oz dusty roads. Wouldn't you know it, it's called Bull Dust.
If one was to game enough to extrapolate the origin of the dust perhaps being the decomposition of excrement. That sort of like reduces the common vernacular to a very restrictive selection of words, starting with 'S', doesn't it?

If you don't mind me asking, what led to this thread?
BTW, former U.S. Army here. 5 years with a medical discharge. I am proud to have done what I have done.

Was it something to do with the bio-geographical make up of Australia?

I'm sorry to say hon but, the world does not revolve around Australia. I know that is hard to hear (see?), but it's the truth. The world revolves around me. ;D

::) Oh, please!
We all know whom the world revolves around.
HINT: It isn't me.

I don't mind at all. It has to do with this: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,159679.msg1363286.html#msg1363286
Looks innocent, right? Except the last time she highlighted Veteran US Army in my profile, she said "Of course you don't like my views, you're a MAN!" So I take last night's post a bit personal.

I would take that extremely personal as well! That's horrible!
Along the lines of women serving, I served with an extremely large amount of women. And trust me, they were not in safe, office type environments. Women serve this country the same way men do. They die the same way men do. They get disabilities the same way men do. They suffer the same way men do.

I would too Devlyn. As for the post in question I agree with your thoughts on it too.
