Title: Getting Pre-GRS Psych Reports from Charing Cross, London
Post by: JourneyingSam on February 21, 2014, 11:58:43 AM
A question aimed at UK folk :)

I've recently been referred for GRS by charing Cross having made my way through their "process".
I am fortunate to be in the position of being able to self-fund (Especially germane given the recent news about Mr Bellringer) and am currently in the final stages of selection of surgeon (Brassard and Suporn are the shortlist).

Both of them require a couple of reports from the psych team.

My lead CHX consultant was Davies with Ahmed being the wingman.  I've been unable to find contact details for them to request a report and so ...

Has anyone here been able to get "OK for surgery" reports from these two and if so how did you do it?

I do have the letter they sent to my GP 4 weeks ago that says they are happy and that I've been referred to the surgical team, but I'm not convinced it has the detail that either of my candidate surgeons require.

Sam x

I'm seeing Dr. Stuart Lorimer - his a psychiatrist specialised in Gender Identity so you could try him at gendercare.co.uk

Send the letter to Suporn and ask if it's enough. Under Thai law you are going to have to get the go ahead from one of their pshychs anyway.
