Title: Oregon
Post by: Amanda2005 on July 12, 2007, 03:19:41 PM
Well I don't see any posts regarding Oregon.  Just wondering if there are any in the Bend area.  I plan on starting my transition at the first of the year I hope.  Telling my family next month and my employer after that.

I did see somewhere that Chico, Ca. has a large TG community, funny,  I moved to Oregon from Chico.  Guess I should have stayed.

I don't know of any groups in Bend, but you might try PFLAG, they would know of any groups there. I do know that they are trans friendly there as they have put Gender Identity into the ordinance, no discrimination.

I'm up by Portland myself, so I can't really offer any advice about Bend.

This is the website of PFLAG in Bend, Oregon. They will give you all you need to know. It is a wonderful group.

Well it's been awhile since I've posted.  I have moved to the medford area and I can't seem to find any resourses down here.  I've contacted the local PFLAG but they won't return my emails.  Anybody have any suggestions?

You might check with Reid Vanderburgh http://www.transtherapist.com/ (http://www.transtherapist.com/)  He might know of some.  He is here in Portland, where I am at.

And NWGA is now at http://www.nwgenderalliance.org/ (http://www.nwgenderalliance.org/)
