Title: Full time or not
Post by: smile_jma on February 26, 2014, 12:30:48 AM
So for thise who have been or are in the "male fail mode" or "female fail mode" but NOT fulltime, what is that called? For me, I don't consider myself full time as my voice isn't quite high enough to be remotely passable BUT every person that sees me for the first time assumes I'm a girl, even when wearing guy clothes. Is that full time? Sure doesn't feel like it but a case can be made, no? Since to everyone else I seem like everyone else (until I talk) .

For me, full time was when I used my female name everywhere I went and with everyone I met. I corrected anyone who used a male pronoun to refer to me.

I am full time and what it meant for me is living 24/7 as the real me with social interactions and life in general. Psychologically it meant "he" was not an option anymore in ANY circumstances and would never come out or exist again. I guess I am trying to say full time is a complete mind, body and soul state of existence, at least for me. :)

This is how I feel about it as well. Once you reach a point where your old gender is no longer a present consideration or a "default" mode of interacting, then I believe you're full time. If you're being read female even in male clothes, I'd say there's not physically holding you back from full time. Good luck!
