Melissa, take care. Try not to see all the sights in Thailand. You will be up in no time. Isn't that feeling of being "right" wonderful. It brought back memories, when I woke up.

I was allowed out of bed this am, i feel fine, it is sat 3pm, the second procedure is mon at 9am followed by two days bedrest. I still have my vagina under wraps with a suction tube, I think he said he was going to take that out tomorrow, I sat down on the toilet for the first time and it really did hit me that the extraneous tissue was really gone. At last!

Melissa, if you don't mind, could you be so kind as to elaborate this second procedure in detail? Is it a version of what it's known today as a labiaplasty? Thanks hon! :)

Had dressing changed and doctor said it's coming along OK, not good, not bad, so I will probably have to wait til Saturday for the skin graft.

It's great to hear you're doing well.
Please pick up some boyfriends and girlfriends for the rest of us. We'll pay you back when you get here. Pick up an extra girlfriend for yourself. We'll cover that one too. ;)

I am bored.

I am bored.
Get yerself down the gym then and (a) work out (b) get pulled!
Unfortunately the laying on the back thing is boring. I passed the time by counting bed sores, watching my urine bag fill up, pulling the intraveonous drip out my hand, trying to find the remote control for the TV and trying to not think about the packing coming out!
Buffy
Can't you get up and walk a little. I did, every chance I got. I looked out the window and walked around the room with all the tubes hanging out of me. That tired me out. I got some things to read, like their newspaper in English. I even messed with the drip system and then broke it by accident. Well, I shouldn't be allowed around mechanical things. It wasn't broken just the dials were all messed up and the buttons. You will be out soon enough.
Sheila
Whatever you do, Melissa, do NOT take the advice of Buffy and Sheila :D
They sound like terrible patients :D
Rebis
Well, I feel better now that the puppies have been let out to breath, looking quite cute too, I also found a couple decent TV channels one of which carries Ugly Betty and some really strange reality shows, I also recorded/worked on some voice samples. So I am feeling better.
Melissa
congrats i am so happy for you ;D i wish you all the best and a pain free speedy recovery
wishes you all the best

Glad you keep checking in Melissa. It's good to know your progress. Don't blame you about the boredom. I hate sitting around too. Any books available for you?

I will warn the lesbo population that they can relax for a couple months, than look out.
Thai Boyfriends- that one is new to me too. I had my surgery done in Thailand and didn't know they were called that. I guess I'm a smuggler of imigrants as I imported three of them without proper ID. I'm sure glad the homeland security people were not around back then. My boyfriends would have been deported.

I only brought three books,
Shrub, Power vs. Force which I left on the plane and the AA "big book" I just finished re-reading Shrub and it depressed me.
I should be grateful and am that I have internet access. Been reading a lot on Thai Buddhism, I am becoming more and more Buddhist in my thinking. I was depressed for all of ten minutes or so when I got the not so good progress report. Then my spirituality took over and I quickly realized that i have no control over these things besides the obvious (taking care of myself)
Thursday (tomorrow) I am having the dressing changed at noon, supposedly the skin graft will wait til saturday, I keep getting the feeling that my healing has improved and that skin graft will actually take place tomorrow. As I have said before I am prescient but I am not sure this is a premonition or wishful thinking. Anyway, it is beyond my control.
I have been sleeping very well (and a lot) and having beautiful, though sometimes weird, dreams.
No dream is more beautiful than a weird dream.
Stay well, you lucky girl.
Tomorrow, Saturday, I will finally have my skin graft, then three days bed rest, then I finally get to see it, in fact, Dr S will give me a tour and the nurse will show me how to dilate. The nursing staff here is great, they are always laughing and smiling.
This am, I got up, washed my hair, got made-up, put on a stretch tee, with the hospital wrap skirts they give you, what a look! But I did look good, and when Dr S came in, his eyes kinda lit up, he said, "Oh, you look goooooooooood." The puppies (he calls them bleasts) are looking more natural every day and I am keeping my waistline tight as I am eating very lightly, fruit and one rice dish per day. Tonight, I am going to splurge and have an omelette and shrimp with prawns as I will have to fast for about fifteen hours.
When I get back to San Francisco and can start exercising, I am going to work on taking another inch off my waist. Gosh, I will have to fight off those older dykes at the gym. I might start working out in the co-ed area too just to tease the guys. LOL
You sounds in good shape, happy to know that... I remember I hadn't washed my hair for about 2 weeks until I got home. I felt too weak to do that, let alone the make-up, I was not in mood to do that at all...
Keep in good shape... Your real post-op life will really begin once you start to dilate...
Just back from OR, everything went fine, now I have to stay in bed at least two days.
As far as the BA goes, there was probably more pain there than down under but not bad. I took the minimum pain medication for a couple days, he removed the wrpas like five days after, there are two like inch and half scars underneath. Each day, I notice the breasts getting more natural looking as the implants set in.
I am 6' and rather large shoulders, I work out hard (body toning and aerobic) and was almost a C which looked small on my large frame, but now with the 505 cc implants, I literally look like an aged Amazonian Goddess. (I almost look like one of those women drawn by that famous comic artist) I doubt whether there are many 59 year old GGs who could rival me, body-wise. Big advantage = most women tend to let go in various degrees when they hit 50. I also have legs to die for. I really feel blessed.

One has to consider how much natural growth and what one will have in the future. From day one, underneath a top, my boobs looked fairly natural but less so naked. DR S recommends no bra for the first eight weeks as the implants settle in.

So it is Monday am here, two days since my skin graft, AOK so far. Today, supposedly I can sit uo and stuff but I am not taking any chances.
I agree. Don't take chances. Allow yourself the opportunity to recover as well as possible.
Best wishes,
Rebis
I am glad everything is going well Melissa. Recovery is important after such a big event.

I envy you. I loved the temples. With an attitude like that, you just had to know she was gonna be one of us.
Kitty looks perfect.

I should know, I have seen enough of them up close and personal! :)
The only thing that isn't perfect aesthetically is that I have a larger fat pad (mins) than normal. I assume the fat will distribute evenly, I will ask and in the meantime, a little hair will hide it. (I was shaved for surgery)
My laptop in the room is down, so I went looking for the lobby internet, got lost then some guy walked me up three floors to show me where it was. I thought "How nice!" then I realized it was the new pups. I notice men are checking me out "in spades" now and they didn't exactly ignore me before.
Watch those Thai men. I could not believe how forward some of them are.
They neither understand or respect the "dyke" zone, even if one is in uniform.
If you get a chance, go the local club for ladies. It's a hoot.

I was out today and the guys nearly jumped before I could even get into the mall. All eyes were on the tall blonde in the mini and cowboy boots, yeah a 59 YO in a mini but I pull it off!
Any recommendations club-wise?

I had to go diggin' thru my stuff to find the matchbooks and stuff.
I highly recommend the Shela Bar. What a hoot! I am a 'tom,' you are a 'dee.'
Get it? Gender roles in Thailand are very defined for lebians. Don't be afraid to 'doll it up.'
The first time I went there, I wasn't butched out enough, and it was weird. They don't go for the andro amerikan look from what I saw. Amerikans = $$$, so they love us.
Have a ball. Or, whatever. LOL.
Today is my three month anniversary!!!
I am in Phuket. I will have a night in Bangkok though, or maybe I can change my plans if I check out OK on my Sunday am follow-up. Thanks, I will def check out Shela and that place to sing karaoke.
Posted on: July 25, 2007, 11:13:29 PM
I copied down the address of Shela's and took a cab from the airport, the cab driver held me hostage for two hours, finally I asked him to let me out by the RCA center, there was a dyke bar there but nothing much was happening, I went to a biker bar, yes a biker and hung out there until it was time to go back to the airport. I met three incredible women there and we exchanged e-mails

but, all in all, my night in Bangkok was a bust although I did see some interesting things like those clubs where ten to twenty beautiful women hang out in front, waiting for clients, my understanding is that they just hang out with them and they buy them drinks.
The noodle lady asked me to promise that I will come back. She said she will wait every day, every week, every month, every year for my return.
