I would find a good Therapist with gender experience to help you decide and guide you. Some places like where I live require a letter before HRT. Some places don't, but therapy helps with more than just letters of recommendation. Mine has brought up things I had never considered and has helped my transition go smooth and relatively easy. I feel better prepared for the challenges ahead now.  :)

Therapy isn't usually a requirement these days for those in the medical profession who follow WPATH, but it's HIGHLY recommended as an extra tool in order to figure out just how your life will/can change, and what you may be able to do about negating some of the more negative things that come up. A therapist isn't ever a bad idea as someone just to bounce around ideas off of if nothing else :)

My advice would be to go see a therapist in addition to an endocrinologist or preferably visit a gender confirming clinic if there's one in your area.

Hugs,
Kelsie
