Title: Non-Legal Changes
Post by: Gina Taylor on March 17, 2014, 10:24:03 AM
I was thinking the other day about what I can change without any legal hassells. I know that I can tell people my feminine name but when signing legal documents I'd have to use my male name {until I have that legally changed.} But I'm just trying to figure out what I can change without  having to change it legally.

Its very easy to add another authorized user to a credit card account.  You can usually do this online and they will mail the additional card to your regular address.  It's also easy to put a new name on a fitness center ID.  I have a YMCA membership and card in my female name.

Many people use their middle name, like G. Gordon Liddy and F. Murray Abraham. Other folks are known by nicknames.  You could sneak in a variant of your middle name and then drop the first name.  Look what could be done with the famous composer Karl Maria von Weber's name?  How many variants of the name "Elizabeth" can you think of?  Beth, Liza, Betsy, Lizzy etc?
