Title: Newbie to Susan's
Post by: Male-CD on December 01, 2005, 10:24:33 AM
Okay, enough calling me "hey you." First, thanks to all of you for being so friendly and letting me in here. Second, my intentions of being here aren't to violate any rules of make crude comments of other people's opinions. If you feel that I have done so, or if I ever do so, please feel free to contact me and we can resolve the matter rationally. I'm here because I am a young crossdresser and I am full of questions that I need help answering. I'm here to learn....and heck, maybe someday I might even be answering questions from a new generation of crossdressers. But before I get to cocky, I need to realize I'm still in the learning stage.  :D So, anyway, my "real" name is Derek and I reside in the state of Missouri!

Hi Derek,

I have been CDing since I was  about seven or eight and have been really comfortable with it for about a year. I think you will find Susan's a place where you can be yourself and converse with others from accross the spectrum of TG and workout exactly where you fit. This is part of your journey of self discovery. I wish you luck on that journey and hope that you will stay around and get to know us.

BTW the directions to the rules and WIKI are given as advice to all who are new. This helps newer members not to make mistakes that are unintended.

Hi Derek,

Nice to have a name to put to the posts. I just have one question though are you Mtf CD or FtM CD?

In that case you might like to pick a fem name for yourself. Not that you have to, just that here at Susan's you have the freedom to be you.

Although I do consider myself a CD, (How can I not? I'm a guy that wears girly clothes for Pete's sake!) I still consider myself to be a guy. I have no desire to be a girl. Just a deep desire to wear girly clothes. I love to imagine one day, me and my wife who support's my CDing, outside on our porch sunbathing in our bikini's.  ;D ;D ;D So, I'd like to keep my male name if that's okay with everybody.

One thing you will find here at Susan's is that provided that you abide by the site rules you are free to be yourself here. This has the decided advantage of you being able to explore yourself and your feelings to find the real you. This is because you are in a safe and friendly place that is not judgemental. So Derek enjoy your journey of self discovery at Susan's.

I like that statement derek, it shows a security in yourself with no illusions about it all and a willingness to be honest about it.  There is nothing wrong at all with simply being yourself and doing the things that make you happy as long as it leads to no actual harm, other then the feelings of some who do not understand.

You realise that having a desire to dress and associate as a girl doesn't really make you one,  I can respect that.  Stay honest with yourself and it is easy to be honest with others.  In time you may become confused about your true identity, but at least you are going in without preconceived illusions which makes any changes in your feelings of identity easier to cope and deal with.  Good luck whatever you do and do nothing for the wrong reasons.

Hi Derek,
I like that name better than CD. Now I feel like your beginning to trust us.

I agree with what Terri said.
Me I've recently realized that I'm part man and part woman in one body. I'm a uniquely gifted person that has been stifled because of always trying to fit the male image. What I will become I'm not sure. It is a journey that will most likely take the rest of my life to complete. Thanks to the great people at Susan's I am not alone on this trek. They have been very helpful and supportive.
Anyway after 55 years I'm just now learning how to be honest with myself.
Have a good journey. I know the people ar Susan's will help when we can.

It's good to meet you Derek.
Jillieann :)

Welcome to Susan's Derek,

I think you'll find all types of tg's here.  We are all at different points on a broad spectrum.  One thing we have in common is our acceptance and understanding of each other for our unique differences.  That's what makes the world go round.  I tell my son all the time, if we were all the same, the world would be pretty boring.  So, embrace the differences, we are lucky to have them.  I look forward to hearing more from you.  I am a "newbie" as well, so I am not sure how much information I can pass on, but I am always here for a shoulder to lean on.

So Neat Derek!

I have worked with many young adults along the years in teaching. Your spunk make me grin. I find you an up lifting sort because you are so honest about what you are doing and why. Stay that way as Terri said it's important that you do for your own sake.

Enjoyed your post,
Peggiann
