Today our rubbish bins were emptied.. I was prepared to go out to retrive them from the pavement without my hat on (which I always wear when I go outside) until i saw a queue of traffic stoped outside .. I was going to put it off till the road had cleared .. then thought No!.. you go now .. and I did .. felt marvelous afterwards .. braver and braver ...
I've no problem going out on my own anywhere dressed femenine .. I feel sort of special .. but I have to wear my paddington bear type hat ..
My security blanket .. that's going to be difficult to give up .. I have no problem answering the door to the postman and delivery people without it. in fact I love it .. and have got a positive response from most of them ..
Has anyone else have a security blancket ?
I have a literal security blanket which is probably a little weird, but it helps me sleep.
I've bought a couple stuffed animals that I fell in love with the store. I sleep with them at night and hug them as I go to bed.
A soft fleece "Care Bear's" blanket here. :embarrassed: Cant sleep without it! :)

This would be mine.
I had one, but she stopped sleeping with me after I came out to her :(

I still have my baby blanket. I sleep with it every night! Can't sleep without it..I even took it with me to Vegas when I went there with some friends (they thought it was weird lol), but ya, I've slept with it every night and always will until it completely falls apart.
So the ages of 13-23 were some of the darkest times for me because I didn't have a teddy bear. My wife swears by them, and I am thankful.
We probably have 100 stuffed little friends now. My wife and I have 4 bears on the bed at any given time. The one I sleep with most is named Frank, and he got me through the last few years of hell. I don't think I'd be here anymore if I didn't have a bear to hug. If Frank (named after Mr. Sinatra) didn't save my life, he definitely saved my sanity. Frank also has a matching fuzzy blanket that he came with that lives on my couch.
