Title: Is it just my brain?
Post by: Lauren5 on March 27, 2014, 10:43:43 AM
I only applied an estradiol patch last night and for some reason I didn't get the normal beard regrowth I have after I go a day without shaving. It has regrown some, but barely. It shouldn't be working this fast, should it? Am I just imagining things?

Wishful thinking at this time, probably. Although growth rate slows down, sadly the beard is one of those  where HRT seems to be less effective. After 11 months my body hair growth has slowed, but the beard... I've been doing laser since August 2012 (electro starts in may) and I still need to shave nearly daily, despite most of the hair now being thinner save for three hairs I keep plucking.

Anyways, all of this is quite relative to age and genetics. A friend of mine that started at 21 finished in less than six sessions and hasn't shaved since then. For me at 30, it's a curse.

I didnt really look for it when i started, but i didn notice recently that ive had significantly less growth. My friend at work even noticed.
I never had to shave every day, but its a lot more noticeable to me now. I feel its the only thing keeping me from passing even this early in my transition.

antiandrogens should be responsible for slowing down beard regrowth and they can work fast...
