so I'm wondering how i would go about finding my bra size that would look and feel best on me and how i would calculate it. Also if anyone knows where i could get a good isn cute bra for under 25$ online i would be very happy :) ;D
Don't. Get a bra when you need one.
its depends, some have a B Size even a C size. you can always go to a store and pick some out and try them on in the dressing room to figure out which size you have. I wouldn't really worry though since you have so many options available to you for bras, there are so many different kinds of them, also I would check at walmart even k mart if you have one where u live, they usually sell bras under $25 I have one that I got for $8 at walmart.
Also: get a bra sized professionally, fer god's sake. You *don't* want to walk around with a bra that doesn't fit.
that's true, that's why I said to chose different sizes and try each one when u do get breasts, I honestly cant wait to get my own I will be so happy but still I have a few for myself I have a C size shapewear bodyshaper and a B size bra so I will see which one fits stupid jcpennys didn't have the B size one when I bought the shapewear oh well I still love it so its all good for me.
I was given some 36B by a friend, and also have a 34C I picked up at Meijer for $3. I really don't care about how it looks and how good it is, since all it's supporting is socks and makes my chest look like I'm not 12 years old, which doesn't correlate with my height at all.

i would like a bra for a similar reason. the intention is that because I live in canada and ccan only get the HRT and surgery performed when I'm older i would like to have a bra to put inserts into :) :icon_walk:

Just go to your local Target/WalMart/Canadian Tire and check out the cheap bras. Folded socks work pretty well as inserts, but you can buy actual inserts at those stores too.
I agree with lauren, if your want bras just go buy some, don't even feel embarrassed or nervous. ive done it and I have a few myself which I wear also. its who you are no one can tell you that you cant you need to be happy in your life do what you want to do, no one can stop you.
I'm still going to stand by my earlier statement. It's my opinion that getting a bra ahead of time is kinda putting the cart before the horse. Take care of the important things. The superficial stuff will come when it's time.

It's even easier if you go to a store with self checkout. That way you don't have to feel embarrassed about a store clerk.

I believe that Riley just wants something to make herself feel pretty. If a bra does that for her, I see no need why she can't buy one or two bras to make herself feel better, even though it won't be physically necessary for breast support.

Riley...
Head down Yonge St. to the Eaton Centre. There is a Victoria Secret store there, I've been shopping there, they are very helpful. There's a Pink right next to it, that may be a better bet for you :)

I am going to have to totally agree here... If you are just starting down this path I would suggest seeking therapy. This is not something you want to go alone and therapy is an essential part of the journey.
Now myself, I could use one... Still working on getting rid of the Moobs... LOL
Actually, I sort of agree with Victoria. While on the one hand, a cute bra may give you a false sense of femininity, you should really be focusing on the inner you and getting that sorted out. Honestly, the smallest cup you can buy will be too large anyway (for the time being). I don't know what kind of help you can get from CAMH http://www.camh.ca/en/hospital/care_program_and_services/hospital_services/Pages/gid_guide_to_camh.aspx (http://www.camh.ca/en/hospital/care_program_and_services/hospital_services/Pages/gid_guide_to_camh.aspx) but their web site says you don't have to be 18 in Ontario to get on HRT. The short strokes: wait until you need one.
There is always the internet on buying bras. That is what I had done a couple of years ago. Saves any embarrassment that you may feel when in a store. Those same bras fit better than ever! When my boobs get bigger, then back to the internet.

im pre hrt, but I went to Victoria secret 2 years ago and was open bout being transgender and told the woman that it was my first time getting a bra and she measured my rib size and it was a 32" so she got me all the bras that were 32" and she got me the A cups so id be able to have boobs without looking flat and she also got me bra inserts cause I asked for them lol. heres a pic of how I look with it on.

do you know what the approx total was? i wanna see if i can manage it my budget has gone up secnificantly but not to extremes
I think the inserts were around 50 dollars and the bra was around 70 dollars, but I don't remember the exact price
just one last question. how does one bra size with just rib measurements?

I hope im understandin ur question rite, but the cup isn't the rib measurments. there are a cup,b cups, c cups, and d cups for all rib size. just go to ur nearest Victoria secret and they will help u.
sounds good :) i will try and grow the guts to do that but i am lacking cash to use in this way due to living with the 'rents being in school and lacking a job :P so i would like to get online and I'm also really scared cause im still uncomfortable with my body as it is now and even though I'm getting the bra to feel better about myself and to look more feminine its still really hard. :-\
you could go to like jcpennys online or any department store if money's a big issue for you. victoria secrets is very expensive, could get much cheaper one basically anywhere else lol

she can do that, but how would she know wat size band she wears? I thought Victoria secret only did measuring.
Several places will do bra sizing and you can even figure your bra size on your own, it's actually much easier than one might think

Afaik victoria secret sitll uses the outdated sizing that only goes down to 32 or 34 band and up to DD cup... 80% of girls are wearing the wrong size. To find your band size you just take your underbust measurement, that's it, go up one if it's an odd number but... no adding inches except for curvier girls. The band should be pretty tight cuz it's supposed to help with support and keep the breast tissue from migrating. Cup size you can try to estimate but it's best to just try some on and check the fits. You can get properly sized at nordstrom and they offer a real range of sizes but their bras (Panache brand I think) are way overpriced... for yall who aren't sure where to find a proper size range or a good brand try http://www.bratabase.com
Sears is a good site. You can order on line, thru catalogue or go into store. There is always a sale.
When on the site go to SEARCH bar. Type in SIZING CHART. Select womens. They have instructions on how to measure and which measurement to use for the article of clothing your selecting. They even have size charts for some of the brands they carry so your better assured of a good fit.
I agree about not wasting your time/money on Victoria's Secret, especially not so early on. Call me ghetto but I did the old fashioned way..got some measuring tape when I started getting *actual* boobs, measured 30A (but it's impossible to find 30 band size soo I just stuck with 32s) went to Target and got some 32As. Those started getting too small, measured again, 32B (yayy!) went back to Target and got those.
I guess I've never understood the obsession with fancy underwear and such. The only time anyone actually sees it, it's generally coming right off, if we're being real. And sizing is a breeeze to do yourself. I say if you're early on, save your money for important stuff...doctors visits, hormones, clothes, makeup etc. Just my 2 cents.

I get mine online at Fresh Pair. They sell men and women's undergarments. Right now they have a lace minimizer bra on sale for $28.000 and a back support bra for $35.00.
Happy shopping!

Not really a great solution for Riley... Shipping to Canada is $21.95, then we have to look at duty and HST. You can do better than that at your local Pink store, for sure!

Am happy to have helped, even though I was no help....:( Oh, well. When it comes to bras, I haven't worn mine for a while now. I must start to wear them again, as the boobs are sagging. Old age!
