Title: Unusual breast soreness...
Post by: Aquarelle on March 28, 2014, 09:01:16 AM
Hello there :)

Today I felt unusual soreness right above my breasts and a little on the sides. The feeling is like in the beginning of the growth process, but the place of the pain is different, so I am concerned... I don't feel any lumps or anything.
I started taking progesterone about a month ago, if it makes any difference...

Anyone experienced such thing and eventually has explanation?

Sounds like they are having a growth spurt.  It has happened to me a couple of times.  I think breast growth is done - then it isn't.  If you are concerned ask your Dr.  Mine just smiles, checks to be sure there isn't anything wrong, and gently sends me on my way.

I haven't had breast soreness in awhile but the b*tches don't stop growing. So, I used to think it was directly related to growth but I don't think so anymore. When I started Prometrium, I had a little pain though.

After four years and nine months on E, my boobs still get sore from time to time, and sometimes it is associated with some growth coming on, or my bra had a wrinkle in it the day before and gave me a mild bruise, or other times it is sore for the pure spite of it it seems.

A year ago I had a suspicious mammogram and subsequent needle biopsy, and it was in and about an area that never had any pain at all in it!!  Turned out it was totally benign firbrous tissue, but the moral of the story is, that just because it was sore did not make it suspicious, and just because it was not sore did not assure the doctor it was not suspicious.

If the soreness comes from a redness or swelling of your skin in the breasts or the site of a progesterone injection, or you have breathing problems, call the doctor immediately since that could be allergy issues.  If there are no allergic reactions, and the tissue becomes really bothersome in other ways, also call the doctor.

During my first two years though the soreness varied from place to place and degree to degree.  You had tissue coiled up in a tight little ball before E, and now it is inflating in a good number of directions.

I do not have any redness or swelling, neither breathing problems or other health issue... The progesterone I am taking is Utrogestan capsules.
Now, several hours later, it seems like the soreness is already spreading across all of the breasts and I feel tenderness of the nipples and around them... Looks like new growth phase is beginning :)
