How far in advance should you call your doctor to make them aware you are interested in getting top surgery? Is it different with every doctor? I'm leaning on the Dr. Garramone side as of now.

It took me 7 weeks from consult to surgery with Garramone in October. His wait time is longer if you are doing it between college students semester schedules.
Some surgeons you can get in within the month, some many months out. Depends on your surgeon and time of year.

I would have thought so too. It took me 8 weeks to get in. As Brett (my wonderful clone said :) ) , if you want December or March it's going to be longer. He takes 4-5 guys twice a week and don't know how much vacation he ever takes. He does some amazing number of surgeries a year (upwards of 500) so it is does not take long to get in.
He also has a system and is extremely efficient. Don't expect a lot of hand holding, he is a wonderful surgeon and altogether nice guy, but he isn't what I'd call super personable. I found his office very helpful though.

Yep. The whole process is very smooth. Efficient is a good word.
