Okay, so my doctor has millions of trans* patients and she knows all about HRT and everything. The frustrating thing about her though is that when going over labs, she doesn't really elaborate. She checks for free testosterone to determine HRT doses. When I first became a patient, she took my blood and established my baseline free testosterone level and she told me it was 12. No units... nothing. Just 12. She did say something about male range from like 9 to 20 something? I don't really know. I took another blood test and she said my free testosterone is now 3.3. She said female range is under 2?
Can someone explain what this all means? What are male snd female ranges of this free testosterone? Am I close to female range? Is my doctor correct with the ranges and stuff?
IDK, but you look incredibly pretty and very female, so she is doing something right. I wish I looked that good.
That is not a range of units I'm familiar with. I'd simply request a hard copy of your labs. It's a legal right in the US to obtain you medical records, even if highly discouraged by some Dr's.
Here's a snip of my most recent labs: It of course shows units, methodology, and expected ranges. My results and treatments are entered as Female.
