I just got a compliment from a 2.5-year old. :D
My wife was playing with our son the other day, flipping through photos on her phone, seeing if he could name the family members (he could). She then came upon a shot she took of me, dressed as woman, from a recent night out.
We'd been talking about how to gently introduce our kids to my other identity, and I guess she felt brave enough to try it. So she shows our son the pic, and asks "Who's this, do you recognize this person?" I put my face next to the phone, hoping he'd catch on.
He looks kinda confused, does a double take at both of us, pokes his finger at the phone and says:
"Iz a girl!"
That pretty much made my day. I told him, "That's daddy!". He was kinda confused and didn't really react. Baby steps.
I guess there's some hope of looking feminine after all.
P.S.: He also really digs my nails every time I paint them. ;D
That is so cute! I just bet it made your day! I am so glad you are being patient and slowly bringing him up to speed. It will make a huge difference in the future and generate understanding for those different. Congrats and well done! :)
That's totally cool :)
I agree, well done.
