has anyone seen the internet site Pandora.com? it is free to join, and provides access to music you didn't even know you liked!
it uses the music genome project. you enter a song or artist you like and it turns up a huge variety of songs with similar features. it's brilliant!
Thank you very much for the 411, Ell. :)

Agreed. Pandora rocks. It's a great way to find new music that you might like.
Yeah, it's a cool system. It checks what songs are being listened to by people who have listened to the same song as you. It finds what is popular and recommends them. One of my kids sent me this site. It is a really good way to listen to new music and also an outlet for artists that bypasses the record companies, radio, and MTV.
Love always,
Elizabeth
If your not from the good old USA you can't use it, licensing and such, they send you to a special screen just for us non-USAN.
I'm going to check this out. Maybe I can learn something

The great and all powerful Reeb has designed a quickmix made up of:
Frank zappa
bob dylan
the doors
the kinks
Grand Funk Railroad
the ramones
the white stripes
Pink Floyd
I've been getting good music except for Bruce Springsteen who I hopefully banned forever.
Maybe later I'll add the replacements and Robyn Hitchcock or the cure.
So far, I haven't had any grateful dead songs that anger me.
Those sound good Ell, maybe I will try them.

what?
i've noticed people there that live in Canada. try again: www.pandora.com
if that doesn't work, maybe it's just a Quebec je ne sais quoi.
Yeah, I can't see it either, I'm in Ontario though. However I remember seeing it several years back when I still lived in Alberta.
