I've mentioned this a few types about my scars that they appeared to be black and blue. My PA commented that she was kind of concerned about it. So this has been probably a month or so now.
Well funny thing, I was washing my scars off and I notices that there was a bit of caking on the scar. I haven't touched this black and blue mark, thought it would make it worse. Well I should have because I started scraping it gently. Guess what, it came OFF. Apparently, though I didn't know this, the silicone doesn't necessarily come off with soap and water. (And here part of the time I wasn't even sure if it was ON.)
The stuff I am using is Scaraway Gel. I don't know if it makes scars later but it doesn't come off that easily!
Moral of the story: If your scars are black and blue (3-4 months out) and you have used Scaraway Gel, you might try scraping the silicone off.
Better take my PA off this case, she was going to look up what could cause this. LOL

Haha! That's hilarious. I'm glad it was nothing serious, though.
That's hilarious, Jay! As you know, I use the Scar Away gel, as well. I use a washcloth in the shower and make sure I use a good bit of rubbing with soap and water to get it all off. Damn funny!

Funny thing is that half the time I think I didn't actually get it on, so I guess we know it sticks. :)
I guess I'll be doing the same thing with the washcloth.
