Title: Girlfriend accidentally got T on her...
Post by: Johnny Tristan on April 18, 2014, 02:55:44 PM
My second injection went pretty sloppy today and a little bit of testosterone seeped out of my puncture, which I think is normal considering it was the first time we did it by ourselves... but my girlfriend accidentally got testosterone on her finger when she was changing the nozzles. It wasn't that much, it wasn't like it got all over her hand but I'm still a little concerned. I was sick and shaking all day, so I couldn't put it together myself, but I wish she had worn gloves or something.
This might sound stupid but will she be alright?

I don't think enough would have gotten absorbed to bother her any. All she had to do was wash her hands.  But yeah, in the future, if she is helping you, she ought to wear gloves.

That's what I told her, but we didn't have any and she was stubborn. Next time she'll definitely be wearing them and she did wash her hands immediately, so that's good. Thanks!

haha I don't think getting a little on her finger once is going to hurt anything.  Women do, after all, have a bit of testosterone in their bodies as it is.  It takes so much and so long to exhibit changes in us transmen that I doubt her hormones would really be too strongly effected even if it was absorbed.

Injectable testosterone is not made to be absorbed through the skin, so she'll be fine.

+1 to wheat thins. The whole "don't get it on your women or children" applies to topical testosterone.

Wash promptly. I work in a lab and the nastiest of chemicals have only minimal effects if dealt with promptly.  A trace of T is normal in females anyhow.

Thank you for all the replies, everyone! :)
We both know that women naturally have small amounts of testosterone anyways, but I wanted to make sure.
... Not that she'd grow a beard over night or something, haha.

Even if it were absorbed one time isn't going to do anything. What they are talking about in those ads (like Androgel) is for someone to be getting a small dose for weeks or months.

As someone who has to inject hormones (insulin) 5 times each day, skin absorption is minimal, don't worry about it, and to prevent the seepage just keep the syringe in for 10 seconds after you finish pushing the plunder and you wont get that backflow.

That's good advice. I usually count to fifteen or twenty and pull out the needle. I haven't had any seeping in two years like that.

Yeah, injectable T is meant to work by being injected into muscle, it shouldn't do anything to the skin, also I have (in vain) rubbed the little extra T I had in my needles after injections onto the skin of my (lack of)happy trail and nothing has ever changed, no extra hair or anything, so I'm sure she's fine lol.
